| With watching the games/scrimmages this weekend, it reminded me of the former "1 and done" tournaments i used to hold. But the old "1 and Done" tournaments were only to CFFL teams, which made it less interesting as the teams would play each other soon before the season.
With the postponment of the tournament, Ive been able to analyze tournaments in general, I realized "pool play" tournaments are really not effeicient. As the games on saturday are almost a "waste of time" and money. ANd reall what do they mean? You still will play the teams the next day?
But in any event. The CT State Tournament will now be marketed more like a "March Madness" the of event.... ONE DAY
With One day as a commitiment nost if not all teans should be able to commit. Along with the tournament being FREE, The tournament would essentially cost "1 and done teams" $50 total to participate. Every team has $50 to play and one sunday to play.
Currently i will only take 16 teams..MAX. and the top 16 ranked teams will edge out anu unranked teams to compete for the prize.
The Prize will now be between $500 and $1000, due to the cut cost with eliminating saturday.
Tournament projected date is August 12th.
At the conclusion of each season this tournament will be offered for free.. first to win 4 games wins!
