| So why didn't the SWABA games get played in Hustisford? The teams involved must be some pretty big cowards to not even let Husty know that they weren't playing there. Yup, they should pay for the field rent, umps, and concessions that were bought prior to the game and not used

| Frankly, I could care less where this leads because those involved (myself, West Bend 7up, Husty, and the SWABA board) know what was openly discussed and agreed upon. Although moving the game to a different location wasn't ideal it was what was agreed upon as long as the teams in the championship game covered all expenses (balls, field use, and umpires), not SWABA or Husty.
In addition, this wasn't a ploy for West Bend to make some quick cash or something stupid like that. It was an idea that got brought up only because it appeared the consolation game was going to be played at 7:30pm with the 9 inning championship game to follow (at 9:30 or 10...super!!) and having the alternative of playing in West Bend seemed a whole lot better (7:30pm start time as opposed to 9:30 or 10pm in Husty).
So in the end, we tried to make a less than ideal championship scenario better by moving the game. I'm left with no remorse on this situation as I know what was openly discussed by all involved. I can also say that SWABA probably got more press and buzz than it probably has in the last decade...which isn't that the point of all these leagues and tournaments anyway...to promote amateur baseball?
Good luck to all in the Rock and Lakes playoffs...hopefully all the drama is behind us and we can have some great games get played down the stretch!!

| Was moving the Finals games the perfect scenario? No. Was it a benefit to the teams involved? Yes. Was Hustisford notified? Yes. Is this over? Yes.
Let's move on to one of the most exciting times of the summer. Playoff baseball! I too would like to wish all teams participating in their League Playoffs the best of luck!

| I'll add on to what Jim said.
Bob Schultz was all on board until it became officially switched. Jami Kaul was involved in the process to as he lives in West Bend with one of the guys on my roster.
I have no reason to take it easy on anybody anymore so I will give you the scoop. Muskego and West Allis wanted the game pushed back a hour. As Jim said that makes our start time possibly as late as 10PM, later if the game goes extras. Kewaskum had a game the following day in Slinger, which was scheduled because Carl screwed up on umpires. I didn't think it was fair to Kewaskum to have to play 2 games less then 10-11 hours apart. Call me mean.
In 3 days, Jim and I had been interviewed for radio and newspaper. Our interviews were on West Bend radio stations for 48 hours during news updates. If it wasn't for rain we would've packed the place.
Lastly, We offered to kick back to Hustisford but Carl said no as long as we covered our own expenses.
If there are hurt feelings, take it up with Carl, and the fab 5 which is the executive board. Neither Kewaskum, 7 Up, Jim, or myself have any part in this.
