Could someone refresh me on how rainouts affect the playoff schedule?

Well times are set for tomorrow. You guys should/will play at your normal time. Will be your game #2. Sox v Bulls game one now is Saturday @ 3 which would of been our game #2 if not for the rainout last night. The Sox and Bulls definitely are playing both days this weekend weather permitting. Now this is just speculation, if we get any more rain later today or overnight, it's possible the 10 and 12:30 games could be washed out in hopes of buying time for field to dry out and get worked on so the sox and bulls can play game one and then Sunday everybody is in line for game #2's. I would assume in the same time slots as Saturday.

Not trying to diss anybody or smack talk, that's later on but I expect Curleys and Cards to sweep, and Bulls Sox matchup could go three. Say if it does, the 2-3 matchup will be set because its hi lo (seeds) all the way thru. That series could theoretically start as early as Sunday though I doubt it happens as the Sox v Bulls could go the distance meaning into Tuesday or Wednesday.

Only thing definite that I can see is Sox and Bulls play 2 this weekend. After that it's anybody's guess right now but hopefully i shedded some light on the matter. Finally gotta say that what ever schedule is posted after Saturday it will be done to give the Sox the best advantage. Sorry guys couldn't resist.

To simplify, when teams are given their date and time they are locked in to that date and time. So if next week you have the wednesday slot and another series has the thursday slot, for this example both are second round first games, the wednesday if rained out does not get moved to Thursday bumping th other series back. That rainout is played on the next scheduled day for that particular series which would most likely be Saturday.

Thanks,

I didn't expect that in-depth of an answer, but it clarified things for me. I had an idea, but just wasn't 100% sure.

This is an internet message board. Shouldnt this conversation take place in the form of an argument?

I'm not allowed to argue unless you've paid.

Been in this league for 10 years and all I've heard is "If you have a dance partner you play the next available open date". Not to mention that the highest seed plays the first game of the day. Funny how it has changed this year.
