| NDP put 8 men in the box and forced Lahser to pass. Lahser didn't adjust,... plus NDP got 21 points from special teams and the defense. NDP is for real. Lahser's 4 wins came from teams that are 1 for 20 combined, (that 1 win was from one of those 4 playing each other). Their next 4 games the teams are 15 for 20 combined.....

| You have to give a lot of credit for NDP for playing well. They did a good job containing Nathan Emery and Spencer McCourt. Lahser is a well disciplined team but There were a few broken plays on Lahser where just got unlucky. However, it is not an excuse to give up that many points from defense/ special teams. Since Lahser has a chip on their shoulder, I think teams need to be careful to not overlook Lahser. I think Lahser will bounce back and stay focus for their goal. And yes, look at the next 4 games will be a good test for the knights...and no, Lahser is not overrated. They played a solid D4 playoff team.

| I hate to say this, but i have to agree. The OAA blue this year is very weak compared to last year. Hopefully, we get good games in the next two weeks

| What happened? Lahser was out coached big time! The wildcat doesn’t work anymore. If Emery lines up in the wildcat guess what…he’s going to run. Duh! Your right they put 8 men in the box and shut it down on a very rainy night so the passing game was weak. McCourt threw a telegraphed pick six…then threw 2 other picks off receivers hands. Maybe it was one of those nights but time will tell. My opinion Lahser runs 10 receivers in and out in all these packages…WHY? Stick to the 4 or 5 that can make plays. This is big boy football and if someone is better they play…forget trying to get everyone some PT in a big game. Let McCourt set his feet and pick them apart. Use Emery to open up the lanes and how about some PLAY ACTION PASSES????? I can’t believe they are not using these two weapons in McCourt and Emery to complement each other? Lahser is way too predictable and they need to cut it out with “trick plays” they are too talented!

| Yes, I agree as well OCF. The plays are becoming more predictable. If Nate Emery is in the wildcat, chances are that he is going to run it. They need to put more play actions to the Tight Ends. They are not only fast but they are actual football players. When they did the play action, they had something going for them. Most importantly, I hate to say this, but Lahser at a coaching standpoint got overplayed. They need to know when to make the right calls.

| They will be lucky to get 2 out of the next 4... again, their 4 wins are agaist 4 teams that are 1-20 combined for wins thur 5 weeks. They should've had 5 pick 6's agaist them before the 2 from NDP.... Most talented team Lahser has ever had.... to bad no one will ever know about them. LO over Clarkston week 8..!!

| Not sure why you would say they should have 5 pick 6’s (I was at the NDP game and he threw only 1 not 2 as you stated). There were 3 picks and the pick 6 was terrible but the other 2 were off the receivers hands. McCourt is one of the best pure QB’s in Metro Detroit let alone OC. He has 11 TD’s 9 through the air & 2 on the ground. If he sets his feet he will pick you apart like a surgeon. Lahser just needs to utilize their personnel more effectively and take what the defense is giving them and not go for broke so often. Lahser will make the playoff’s but will it be at 7-2 or by the skin of their teeth remains to be seen. Many times a loss like this can wake a team up and let them know they’re not all that. I do like this team but I think Seaholm and Avondale are going to give them all and maybe more than they can handle.

| Oh and I forgot to mention LKF...their tightends are not the answer. Like I said in my previous post Lahser needs to quite making so many substitutions and say with their studs like good teams do.

| Lahser runs a multiple so they can get different types of receivers in. Whether it is a speedy receiver or a precise route runner, Lahser needs to use as much talent as they can. The tightends are not bad either. They need to utilize them more. I agree with seaholm and avondale. They are two well-skilled teams. However, I still think Lahser will win both teams. But do not get me run, if lahser gets ahead of themselves, they will lose both games. They need to stay focused so they can get ready for the playoffs. I also agree that Spencer McCourt was unlucky with two of the interceptions. The 1st interception was his fault. As a QB, he needs to communicate better. Anyway, I heard that the upcoming games is highly anticipated. I will also look forward to seeing who will win: Seaholm or Avondale? What do you think OCF?

| I'll take Seaholm by that same 13 at home with the extra week off.
And Sorry, meant nothing against Dr. McCourt... counted the pick that was ran back to the 1 and then in the next play as a pick 6 and huge deflation in the game... and on the MiPrepzone website... whole game coverage against Ferndale... saw 3 passes that will go for 6 easily these last 4 games. By no means am I pointing fingers at the QB... those are hard passes to make, last years second half opening drives proves that. Stop throwing them..!!
Play action, 3-8 yard slants or outs and let the athletes make plays... why is Emery always starting off to the short side of the field..?? Get him wide and let him cut it back in.. they out coach themselves. This team is blessed with talent, from the QB all the way down to the DB's.. (if Loria Gave up his stats, pretty sure Charlie Dauch is leading the OAA in Sacks).
Let Them Play..!!

| Who knows..? In the OAA, how many head coaches are just that.. and are not personally responsible for and or don't specifically coach either side of the ball. Your thoughts......

| I think most coaches of the good teams have a vested interest and certainly pride/ego that make them want to win. Dewald for example had a huge vested interest even at Andover and it show in how his teams played. Flip that & talk about the coaches “vested interest” in Andover then I would say you are correct. Not to bash the Andover coaches because they were in an IMPOSSIBLE situation & I truly feel bad for them as well. That said coaches like Carter, Harrington, Loria, DeWald, Deutsch & Redmond love what they do and truly care about their programs & the kids (this is just to name a few…there or others so don’t send me hate mail I can’t name them all). Therefore, I think your statement is broad and should possibly be directed at one or two programs as opposed to high school football as a whole.
