| i read the comments and the bottom line is all of this is george gonna lookout for MW.him and MW coaches be messing around with there players and george know he need to keep that team happy or his business will be put out on the street. it's called, i watch your back you whatch mine. George, Tim and Brian you guys work on your integrety and do whats right for the league. think with the heads on your neck and not your pants. Fair is fair

| Keeping It Real. At first I thought this was about drinking a certain brand of milk. But seriously Commissioner George ? I don't know what happened but I'm glad someone is playing football this weekend and hopefully all will get resolved going forward. Again, a new fan.

| WTF??? Stop the madness!!!! This is pure ignorance. How could George have possibly predicted that BG and MW would both advance to semi-finals and have to play each other????? CUT THE SHIT man, there is no conspiracy going on!!! You have to be a bitter ass player whose team didn't make it in. I don't understand how ppl sit around and make up shit like this. This is ridiculous. If your team didn't make it, so be it, get over it and try again next year or just leave the league if you feel that strongly about it. Maybe if you put as much effort as you put into this into working on your game you can be a better asset to your team next year and you won't have to be spending time starting shit on a message board. Some of yall are just simple as hell.....GTFOH with all the BS.

| Who cares who is messing with who cause truth be told there are way more coaches than just the ones mentioned above that are messing with players, but the shit is irrelevant! It has nothing to do with the game, or if your team gets beat. For real the only thing I've ever seen it have an effect on is whoever the coach and player are and their team. There has been a lot of insinuating going on on this board all week, but can any prove anything? Hell no, so stop with the drama. It highly takes away from what we are trying to accomplish as a league. That is a huge accusation to be making with no facts just what you think is going on. This shit is crazy right here. If you have a problem with how you think things have been handled, be women enough to express your concerns with George and Tim face to face. Don't come on the message board and try to make a mockery of our league. As we clearly see from the fan that posted above, we have lots of outsiders that admire our league and they too visit this message board. Have some class, and learn how to approach situations correctly because this right here will never get you the answers you're looking for. This shit is beyond disrespectful!

| Wow....at first I was just going to delete this entire thread, but decided to let the ignorance flow with a few edits on my part. First off, I'm not going to stoop to the level of a few haters that have nothing better to do with their time. Anyone can start rumors and complain about every darn thing, especially when they hide behind the keyboard. If you have a problem with myself, Tim, Brian, or anyone else or anything regarding or related to our ELY League, just try to be a little more adult and remember this is all about competition, comradery, and fun. I do know that some people have fun by downing things and trashing peoples names, so I do understand why this person stays hidden (not that it matters who they are - stay hidden). The bottom line is this simple, "WE" as coaches, players, league administrators, etc - are not making anyone be a part of DC ELY Football. Everyone has an option to simply stay away from this ordeal if it creates that much bitter grief in your life. It's pretty obvious that you have nothing else to do in life, so you want everyone to be just as bitter. I do apologize to you for not being able to fulfill that void of happiness in your life with the DC ELY League. As in life, you can't save everyone (or make them all happy). I suggest you be adult enough to stop the madness on the board and approach any of us with your concerns directly instead of trying to rally people behind your childish theorys. I do applaud the majority of our fans/players/coaches that continue being a part of our league and trusting enough to know that improvements will be made as we strive for perfection. As always, good luck to all teams playing for the Titles this weekend and to the fans - I hope your team(s) come out on top.

| Why consider removng post? Was there some vulgarity or something? I've seen worst kept up. Let it not be to muffle the voice of people who share opinions that differ from yours. Let this board not turn into a biased platform that only seeks to keep the status quo. I think we can learn more from what is being expressed than not... I can see how some(a few) may not want to hear it but quite frankly, its a healthy outlet and needed.
The thought that something should have been done differently makes sense and seems reasonable, considering the circumstances. If the West had a team that would not be playing, the same theory would apply. But, those aren't the circumstances. In my Spike Lee voice, "Do The Right Thing!", if we truly are about our league, growing stronger.
*maybe next time* in my Jesse Jackson voice "keep hope alive"
Good Luck to all teams that play on Sunday! Looking forward to watching both men and womens teams. coaching, game plans, execution. All that! Who wants it? Whose gonna get it? Championship Sunday!

| George..as a player let me apologize for all the foolishness going on. I as a player enjoy the Ely league and I see the complaints and unfortunately no one came up with another plan that did not consist of letting losing teams back into the finals or kicking a deserving team out... So carry on George u guys are doing a good job... !!!

| I normally don't respond, but I agree with MW#7 I enjoy playing in this league, especially since I came from the VA league, I'm not happy with the refs all the time but who is! This is a great league and way better than VA's league! No one is perfect and no organization is either, no matter what type it is. What's important is that we learn from our mistakes and grow and make the league better. I personally think we have the best league around, even with the kinks! I just wanna play football!

| George, again I say that in the Alexandria Women's League this guy Marvin, who was the Commissioner treated the women's teams like crap. He didn't do any of the things that you have done since the Ely Women's Flag Football League has started. Marvin didn't have a message board and never gave any team representative the respect of answer questions that were asked. He didn't care!!! So I say take away the so called message board. It not a message board. It's a vehicle that spores nothing but negativity from cowards, who won't come and express to you or anyone how they really feel in person. This guy Marvin didn't give them anything and when you first started this for the women all of the women's teams didn't come because they liked taking crap from Marvin. Send them back to Marvin!

| I love our league and this message board. All this talk about taking this board down is hogwash. Opinions are opinins and just because you dont agree doesn't justify not continuing to allow a medium in which to express ourselves, freely. The positives outweigh negatives. If and/or when it becomes too disrespectful, simply hit delete! That's simple enough. Way to ball ladies and gents. Congrats to MW & DC Jets!

| Coming from a MW player, I'm sure George is doing a fantastic job he could do no wrong. But, we(every team out there, including the real players on MW-I've spoken to a few) all knew that whole BG's situation was a bit sketchy and should have been add. Come on George! You going to share some of the kickback you getting/got from MW?

| This league is reaping huge benefits because we choose to suppprt it. If leadrship has any sense, changes will be made so teams and coaches, alike regain trust in this Leauge. If the bs continues, the league will regret it in the end. Teams are beginning to see thru the BS and if changes aren't made and integrity re-established, teams will be flocking away. Don't get it twisted, we make this Leauge what is it! Whatch what ya ask for. You just might get it!

| Great games today and congrats to the Champs. That's really all that should be discussed right now. In closing, I will say this.....it's only a couple of people on this board making several posts to make it seem like it's a lot of disgruntled people. Again, get a life and enjoy it. Call me on the phone and gripe person to person. People are tired of "YOUR" BS about our league.
