wow.. that was a close one. When you go to Valley, you have to bring your A game no matter the talent level of the Blackhawks. Valley built a 10 point lead in the third quarter and I thought we were in trouble, but the boys shows extreme composure and quickly dissolved that lead. We missed a lot of free throws which made the game closer than it needed to be, but we pulled it out.

I think a key to the game again was the bench. With our deep bench and frequent substitutions, we were in much better shape physically in the fourth quarter. Valley seemed tired and it affected their shots.

Again, I can not say enough about Evan Jones. The kid just seems to add something that we need.

Also, Garrett Strange hit some huge shots including the layup at the end of the third quarter.

Good job guys!

I also think it goes without saying that Tanner W is playing great basketball right now. He is staying out of foul trouble and taking it to the defense. Few teams will have an answer for him.

I agree that was a battle but you can expect that evertime these 2 teams play. And yes our deep bench is goin to be a big help when we get in to this tougher part of our schedule. It is nice to see how each one of the boys is learning their role and coming together as a team. And it is nice to be able to go 2 or 3 deep and not hurt the team at all. If they keep up the hard work and keep playing team ball along with the good coaching they are getting from dusty they will make some noise come tourney time

It was a hard fought win for sure against the Hawks, and like it has been pointed out when these two teams play it is going to be that way in most cases no matter records or any other factors. Our bench for sure came into play in the second half as we were able to come back time and time again, finally just wearing them down. We did a nice job adjusting to defending the 3 point line as the game went on, and even though they still hit a few it was much better than the first half. Evan Jones as pointed out by Ram Fan played a tremendous game. Garrett Strange off the bench provides that boost of energy role, and as Ram Fan also pointed out Tanner is coming into his own as I think he is finally starting to see what his potential could be. Lee played his usual solid game, and also Aaron Key played huge for the Rams. I agree that each guy is starting to fall into his role now, and that will do nothing but help as we go through this stretch of our schedule all the way into the tournament.
