| ARTICLE 7
SECTION 1 VOTING A. All general officers shall be elected by a majority vote of all votes cast. B. The President shall appoint ballot clerks. C. All voting for general officers and members of the Executive Committee shall be by ballot. D. Members of the Executive Committee shall be elected at the Annual Meeting and the member from each division receiving the highest number of votes cast shall be declared elected. E. For any award where there are three or more names on the ballot, the ballot must be fully completed or the ballot will become void. The same holds true if there are only two names on the ballot.
By-Law Committee Suggested Changes:
ARTICLE 7
SECTION 1 VOTING OF OFFICERS A. All general officers shall be elected by a majority vote of all votes cast. B. The President shall appoint ballot clerks. C. All NOMINATIONS and ELECTIONS shall be cast by BALLOT. D. All voting for general officers and members of the Executive Committee shall be by ballot. E. Members of the Executive Committee shall be elected at the Annual Meeting and the member from each division receiving the highest number of votes cast shall be declared elected. F. For any award where there are three or more names on the ballot, the ballot must be fully completed or the ballot will become void. The same holds true if there are only two names on the ballot. (Remove from this section)
Reasoning behind suggested changes: We think that this article should just be categorized as voting for officers, and not any other type of voting, so it is easy to refer to. We suggest letter C., that all nominations and elections be by ballot to try and eliminate any animosity that may arise from someone nominating or from voting for someone in a non-ballot form. This may not be the best as far as nominations go, but for balloting when electing officers we think it is a must. Letter F. we felt belongs in a different section when voting on awards or All-Star members, we would simply move that to another section.

| I agree with these changes including a ballot for nominations. I think over the past few years people have been hesitant to nominate others for open positions as they are not sure how they will be treated by other officers. This would maybe eliminate that part of it if no one knows who made the nomination.

| Lebanon is for the proposed changes if interested people in a position have the option to declare their candidacy before the nomination ballot. Also, teams should be allowed to fill out a blank nomination ballot in order to keep the voting ballot from becoming too large. We don't want 10 different names on a voting ballot just because teams were forced to nominate someone.
