| Looking forward to the start of the new season. Sounds like the league is going to be loaded. Should be a great season, Here are my 2013 preseason rankings. Later in the week I will be posting my playoff predictions and league awards.
1. Young Gunz- The best team around and one of the best teams in the country. Their blend of physical play and skill is almost unmatched. 2. Trojans- The most dominant offense in the state, led by the old general Sam is capable of beating anyone. The defense is also vastly improved. 3. Knights- They were dominant in the fall and if they can keep that roster intact they deserve to be mentioned with the top 2. Their ability to dissect any opponent makes them tough to beat along with their talent. 4. Steelers????- (Would be nice) the defending Wtby Spring Champs. I have to think the Steelers would love the chance to prove that they are still the States best team. They are always a threat as long as they have Rocket and that defense. 5. Warriors- This group of young guys look like they may be ready to breakthrough this season. They have talent on both sides of the ball and they are well ran. 6. Chargers- I have no idea what the roster will look like (neither does Chris) but I am sure they will put together a solid to above average team. If they bring the travel team, the ranking definitely changes, either way they are a playoff team. 7. Hawks- These young guys could do damage this season if they have the team they ended last season with, along with the addition of Big Ced to strengthen the O-Line. They have a good Qb and game changers on the outside. 8. Tig Ole Bitties- They just have a good group of guys that don't beat themselves and do enough to win against most teams. They play well together so they should be able to hang with most teams. 9. Dirty Water ( Southside Pookies)- Pretty much all of the playmakers from the Canes come together with Rob Saunders should make an offense that's tough to stop. If they can keep their cool (Big If) they could surprise people. 10. Chiefs- The Chiefs were already solid at the skill positions, Rumor has it they merged with another team giving them the size and numbers that they lacked. They have proven they can beat good teams (ask the Chargers 2x). Now we need to see some consistency. 11. Broncos- The open champions are moving in the right direction. I hear they have made some key acquisitions which make them a playoff contender and sleeper status. 12. Hit Squad- The guys from Naugatuck have put together some of top players from the past to try to make a run at things. Should be interesting. 13. Rebels- The best of the New Britain Flag League. New Britain has produced the Gunz and Assassins but New Britain has also produced Killa Hill. So we have to wait and see. 14. Spartans- This team always starts strong but by the end of the season falls apart and barely can field a team. So they are another team we have to wait to see. 15. Rams- They look to rebound from a rough fall. This team actually has decent players, so they should be more competitive this time around. 16. Raiders- This is the first league that this team will be playing in. It's going to be rough, so expect some growing pains. Just try to improve each week.
