| FACT!!!!!
2 teams were crushing the ball last night and still tried to use loaded bats in the independent league. Don't you stupidheads know you're playing with a kindergarten rec. ball?

| These guys should know that they are playing with fire. Take it from me. Unfortunatly a member of my team struck a pitcher in the head last year at Mercer. The guy was and from what I hear still feeling the effects of it. It was a unfortunate situation but at the same time done with no intention or ill will. The bat was collected sent to NSA for testing and came back clean. Now if the bat was altered we are talking lawsuits, crimal charges and possible jail time. By the way the new ball being played with is there cause it takes away the effect of a shaved stick. Your actually better off Hirt that ball with a harder non flexing bat. It's a huge risk you take anytime you pick up a glass bat and the reward isn't worth it. Not if you enjoy playing softball and vacan be banned from it trying to pick up another 10-15 feet. Just learn to hit. If you don't mind me asking how do you know they were swinging a shaved stick?

| They must have been hitting the ball harder than the other team. Get with the times. Dont you guys know that shaved bats are the new stock bats. I'm over the shaved bats. These days when I want to feel like a hero I reach for the Miken Ultra 1 painted to look like an Easton Cyclone. I bought mine from the Kona Shaved Ice truck in the field 2 parking lot. The vendor threw in a free choco taco with the purchase. Get some!

| Agree the first thing you need to do is prove its shaved, just because somebody hits the ball hard or the bats sounds different from yours does not mean its shaved. Second agree with the post in regards to the balls this year a different ball is being used the shaved sticks will not be rewarded "as much" as in the past years with this ball, but don't be crazy and think it still doesn't help. In reality todays bats are so good right out the wrapper or factory all you need to really do is break it in, by that I mean any where from 50 to 100 swings and your good. More BP BP BP BP, step up your game ladies...

| #1- you don't have to be an idiot to play this game but it sure does help.
#2- "still feeling ill effects" I hope to God this never happens to anyone else so you don't have to deal with the PERMANENT physical and emotional effects of a fractured skull and brain bleed .
#3- " The bat was collected sent to NSA for testing and came back clean " Well to bad we'll never have the peace of mind to know that, as we've never seen a document or report saying the bat was clean.If everything was on the up and up Im sure we could have received a report.
#4- And last and most important..God forbid this should ever happen again to anyone NEVER take the word of the umpire and director who say's the person who got hit was ok because he walked off the field under his own power. If we had listened to that FU**ING idiot MY BROTHER might be dead !!

| My whole response was against shaved bats. But I guess for some reason you believe that the salvo used that night was shaved. I'm sorry but the bottom line is that was a terrible accident. The guy who has the letter is away this weekend I just called him. Here is my number and you call me and I will get you the letter. This way you can see for yourself. The rules state that a copy of that letter goes to the league and I'm sure they have it too. Ill make sure you have it so you and your brother know the real deal. 609-977-4313

| HEY 420 THE REASON I KNOW THEY WERE SWINGING LOADED BATS IS B/C THE PREVIOUS WEEKEND THEY GOT THE BATS FROM A FRIEND OF MINE WHO PLAYS IN THE CONTINENTAL LEAGUE. BUT I DON'T UNDERSTAND B/C THAT BALL IS MUSH.
