We are getting closer to playoffs and the games are beginning to mean something now. Who will round out the top 8 and who will be battling it out for the OPEN chip...

YoungGunz (New Britain) vs Chiefs (Bristol)

Kittles always seems to have the Chiefs ready to play and WR Coyne seems to make a big play (or two) every week, however this week he will be facing arguably the best cover corner in the state, DB Madfast. Expect this game to be well under control by halftime as QB Roberts and the Gunz offense moves the ball with ease.
YoungGunz 32 Chiefs 0

Chargers (New Haven) vs Dirty Water (Waterbury)

Chris has struggled to field a full Charger team so far this season and although WR Shank has been great, the offense has struggled. Dirty Water on the other hand doesn't seem to have an identity and when QB Saunders doesn't show this team STRUGGLES. Rob will be there this week and it'll be too early for the Chargers to have their reinforcements, so expect this to be close.

Chargers (New Haven) vs Chiefs (Bristol)

Both teams are playing their 2nd game of the day and both teams tend to carry light rosters so players on both sides will be a bit wore down. WR Coyne and the Chiefs offense should be able to find the endzone, but the battle tested Chargers and QB Dino should do enough to get the win.
Chargers 19 Chiefs 6

Warriors (Southington) vs Spartans (Bristol)

Phil and the Spartans have limped out of the gate to an 0-6 start and they face the Warriors, now at full strength with their college boys home. Last week QB Connor and WR Dube showed they can get it done against any defense and their own defense is relentless led by LB Moose and the "gremlins". Warriors pull away early.
Warriors 28 Spartans 0

Tig Ol Bitties (Danbury) vs Spartans (Bristol)

Tig Ol Bitties have the talent AND the QB to make the PRO playoffs, but it seems only half the team really cares. Their offense seems to move the ball between the 30's but then gets shut down before they reach the endzone. This week they play a Spartan defense that hasn't really stopped anyone this season. Look for QB Palmer and the Bitties offense to get in a rythm and finish drives.
Tig Ol Bitties 24 Spartans 6

Warriors (Southington) vs Raiders (Meriden)

The Raiders are a young team that plays tough and doesn't give up. WR Reuport hasn't made all the games but seems to make big plays when he does. The Warriors have had one of the toughest schedules so far and their record reflects that, however they are now fully loaded and looking at 2 wins on the day, WR Dube has another big day and DL Nolan creates havoc for the Raiders option offense.
Warriors 21 Raiders 6

Tig Ol Bitties (Danbury) vs Hawks (Waterbury)

At the beginning of the season this game would have been looked at as a pivotal seeding game but it seems these two teams are moving in opposite directions. QB Palmer and the offense should be productive but will have to finish drives and DL Chad and Uhl will have to pressure QB Gondek to have a chance. The Hawks offense should soar behind WR Dunbar and two way stud Kirkland while DL EJ will force Palmer into quick decisions. Bitties keeps it close for a half but Hawks pull it out.

Games of the Week!!!!!!!!

Knights (Southington) vs Broncos (Middletown)

The Knights are comin off a loss noone in a Knights uniform would've predicted. They sit at 4th at 5-2, having led very late in both their losses. QB Ish needs to play well in this one cause the Broncos can play. WR Coles and Sean should be able to move the ball and score points and LB Walker will make QB Ramos pay at some point. The Broncos have a punchers chance in this one, if they can keep the Knights from converting 3rd and long and even 4th and long and DL Rodney can force QB Ish to make mistakes. Knights show why they are elite.
Knights 38 Broncos 18

Hawks (Waterbury) vs Broncos (Middletown)

Carlton has the Broncos looking much improved this season with the additions of the WR Walters, QB Ramos, DL Rodney among others. They are .500 with a couple tough losses but are looking at the toughest part of their schedule to come. They should make the PRO but need a couple "BIG" wins to be comfortable. The Hawks are doing exactly what they need to do and that is WIN. Coming off the biggest WIN of their young team history they sit in 3rd place having already played their toughest games. QB Gondek and the offense already looks good and have yet to be at full strength. Their defense is TOUGH and DL Etabee will make the offense know he's around. The Broncos could win this, I just don't see them having enough left in the tank having already played the Knights.
Hawks 21 Broncos 20

Trojans (Bridgeport) vs YoungGunz (New Britain)

This could be the championship game preview. The Trojans are currently #1 at 7-0 and the YoungGunz are #2 at 5-0. These two teams are VERY familiar with each through tournament play but have little experience facing each other in league play. The Trojans have the #1 ranked offense and #2 ranked defense, while the Gunz are #2 in offense and #1 in defense. The Gunz secondary led by DB Madfast, DB T-Lee and LB Quilles is arguably the BEST in the state. They will need it cause the Trojans offense is VERY productive. QB Sam is surrounded by WR Delroy, CJ, Gill and Norko. Their OL is big and Banks is one of the few true RB in flag. Not to be outdone the YoungGunz offense is led by Chris "sizzle", "2 minute", "swaggfull" Roberts who already has 2 final game winning drives this season. His WR core of Quilles, Pito, Sanchez and Elliot are all battle tested and VERY good. The Trojans are no slouch on defense either, with consistent pressure from DL Davey and Collins and a tight secondary scheme led by DB Delroy, DB Devante, DB Terry and LB Norko. This should be good.
