| 1. Minnetonka 14-0 (Same old team, same old story on top) 2.. Capitals 10-2 (Dominating teams, only loss in walk off to Miesville and Rosetown, I smell state champion) 3. St. Anthony Hogs (5-0 in league play outscoring opponents 39-10. Sleeper pick?) 4. St. Louis Park. 11-8 (lots of games with players available and still dangerous) 5. Lyons Pub 7-4 (Undefeated in league and looking to rebound after tough 2012) 6. Lakers 5-5 (Lots of questions but have the youth to make a statement this year if players present) 7. Stockmens 5-5 (Slow start after 2 impressive seasons) 8. Rosetown A's (3-1 league, knocked off Capitals and thats worth mentioning)
No other teams worth mentioning right now due to slow starts.
Any feedback is appreciated.

| Being a team that has played 10 games versus these "top 10" already I will provide a few notes:
1. Tonka is Tonka. You can't make mistakes against them because they will take advantage. 2. Capitals- look VERY good. Very good hitting team and there pitching is looking as good as anyone. 3. Hogs- We may have played them on an off night but I think they are way overrated here. Ok hitting team. ok pitching 4. Park- inconsistant lineup. If they put it together consistant lineup they will be a team to beat as always. 5. Pub- I think they should be in the Hogs spot. Great additions, solid pitching so far. Team to beat in the P-Nash 6. Lakers- We've played them twice and neither time looked too impressive pitching or fielding wise. There bats will come around but they won't win without more consistant pitching and de. 7. Stockmens- haven't played them but I'm sure they'll be fine. 8. Rosetown- beating the Capitals is huge for their resume 9. Bandits- They are slightly down this year in the pitching department. Could be the year Edina slides ahead of them in the #3 spot in their league. 10. Angels- #2 team in the P-nash.

| Interesting.....
I see the Hogs in the top ten. Not a sleeper pick when I picked them to be right where they are now.
Angels offense will come around. They still have state title potential pitching.
I hear Bloomington has a pitcher who drinks beers before he gets on the bump.
Caps are nasty!
Lakers lose to Rats. Very entertaining 7th inning.
E-Sox are still my sleeper.

| Hogs 5-0 in league play and out scoring opponents 390-10 or whatever it was? Really? You mean these opponents...Fan HQ, Stillwater, Rooster, White Bear, Blue Package, Tri City, Rosetown and The Rats?
Hogs need to travel west of the river and get some games next year against those in a different wiffle ball league.
Check schedules of the top teams to see who they play...playing tough schedules makes one get better. Besides if they are as good of a young team as many claim they are why are they not playing more games against better competition?

| Hogs have played Lyon's Pub, Minnetonka, Capitals, and had two games with Coon Rapids rained out. Play Lakers, Minnetonka, Patriots and Coon Rapids later in the season. Maybe the tough non-con schedule has helped the Hogs win some games early in the skyline season.

| All I am saying is in my humble opinion the SL is not that good of a league. It is certainly the weakest league in Class A. With all due respect to Stockmen's of course...club has been around a long time and have always been competitive...Hogs are probably the second best team in the SL so props where props are due. Yet who are the #3 and #4 teams in the SL? Perhaps Metro Knights or Fan HQ? These two teams combined have only played twenty games winning I believe 11 of those...with wins against the likes of Duluth Padres, Hagger City, Ellsworth, St. Patrick, St. Francis, Spring Valley, New Hope and St. Paul Mudhens...

| Tri-City and Rooster are both consistently good teams from the Skyline and can play anyone tough. Shark have two one-run losses to Minnetonka. Both teams need to make sure guys show up consistently.

| I have been on the board before and did change my handle. However I am not the dreaded "Old Timer." Although I wish he would come back and grace us with his presence. Heard he is flipping freebees as usual and if he is one of "additions" to Pub others have mentioned I do not concur that he made their staff any better.

| Seems like a good time for updated rankings.
1. Tonka 4-0 (17-1) Easy call - Team to beat 2. Capitals 4-1 (12-3) Wins over some tough competition to start the season. Good pitching + good hitting. 3. Bloomington 4-0 (12-3) - Hitting and pitching well. But a softer schedule to start the season. 4. Lakers 4-1 (9-5) Beat some very good teams, but also lost some games they shouldn't have. 4. St. Anthony Hogs 6-0 (????) Have always had good pitching - and seem to be hitting the ball better this year. Their schedule gets tougher but they deserve recognition thus far. 5. St. Louis Park 2-2 (13-10) Riding a hot streak right now. Started out a little slow. Pitching is coming around and bats are usually very good. 6. Cobras 2-1 (8-6) Have played a tough schedule to start the year. Wouldn't be surprised to see them move up the rankings as the season progresses. 7. Highland Park 2-1 (???) Need pitching help but can hit the ball when needed. Tough to rank them since they don't have a site (that I know of). 8. Angels 2-4 (10-10) Haven't beaten a lot of other ranked teams. Could climb or drop off the rankings. Wouldn't be surprised by either. 9. Tri-City 4-1 (??) Have beaten the teams they need to. Not sure about their non-league games since they don't have an updated site. But 4-1 deserves some cred. Took down Stockmen's pretty easily and their only loss was their first game of the year to the Hogs. 10. Shamrocks 2-3 (???) Not sure what to make of them this year. Have yet to see them. Probably deserve to be higher. Time will tell.
Dropped from my previous rankings
Merchants 2-3 (5-8) Too many losses to bad teams Stockmen's 2-2 (5-7) Recently lost to the Metro Knights...ouch.

It does seem like a good time for some updated rankings.
1. Tonka I concur
2. Capitals solid club = no argument
3. Bloomington 4-0 (12-3) Not this good
4. Lakers again no argument...solid #1/#2 punch and good team in tough league
5. St. Anthony Hogs 6-0...you may think they deserve recognition however I do not concur. Keep sippin the Kool Aide...have they played anyone much less beat anyone of note?
6. St. Louis Park They have no catcher...top ten for sure but no higher. 7. Cobras Seriously? They have no pitching
8. Highland Park Really??? No comment. They can "hit the ball when needed." Does that equate to timely no pop hitting or they just run into stuff every once in a while as needed?
8. Angels "could climb or drop off the rankings." What? Is there a chance they would remain at the same spot in the rankings? I would not be surprised by either...either.
9.Tri-City They have only lost one game but there website is not updated? Either you play for them and know they have only lost one game which I would question anyway. Or you are totally guessing. Which by the way would be fine but if so stop pretending you know what you are talking about.
10. Shamrocks You have yet to see them, don't know what to make of them but they "probably deserve to be higher." ??? So you may be a Shamrock. "Time Will Tell."
"Dropped from my previous rankings"
Merchants 2-3 (5-8) "Too many losses to bad teams." Teams with vets and a couple solid players who get it don't care about early losses...Merchants could make playoff noise. Stockmen's 2-2 (5-7) "Recently lost to the Metro Knights...ouch"...Ouch indeed but they don't care about pre 4th of July losses either. I am sure it was like a state championship for the Knights yawn.
No love for Pub in the tough Park Nat? Four league wins against one loss I believe.
Keep livin the dream in the Sky Line

| Comments to A-Hole's Ranking: Bloomington should be in the 5-7 range, tops. Hogs are right where they should be today, maybe they'll move down later in the season. Highland Park shouldn't even make this list. Stockmen's isn't playing good ball yet, shouldn't we expect that to change? Pub should be up here. TriCity should not be up there, but probably top 3 in the Sky. St. Paul league seems to be down this year, cept for the Caps.
A lot of teams are playing below their capability right now. Kind of a weird season so far.

| Oh - I won't disagree with anyone's comments toward my rankings since we all have opinions. But I included Tri-City because they are 5-1 in the Skyline and also gave a whooping to a very good Blaine team in the Vic's tourney and took second in the tourney only losing to Victoria 4-3. No - I don't play for Tri-City - I just follow the leagues closely.

| Not getting on ya... Was just calling out my opinions based on what I've SEEN so far. I only know the records based on what you've posted and don't know records against top tier teams.
I'm too rough of a grader anyway. I feel like most teams I've seen this season are just under-achieving. Maybe one or two over-achieving. Keep the rankings coming. I check back daily for updates from any random foo'

| 1. Tonka 17-1 - Only loss to Lakers 2. Capitals 13-3 - 3rd in Victoria tournament 3. Lakers 9-5 - Beat tonka, tied for 1st in deepest league 4. Hogs 6-0 - Will keep them here for now only because there the only team left undefeated in league play. 5. Lyons Pub 10-6 - Tied with Lakers, only loss to Merchants 6. Bloomington 12-3 - Playing and schedule getting tougher 7. Park 13-10 - Personally feel they are down this year and inconsistant to crazy schedule. 8-0 loss to Tonka in league is a good barometer. 8. Tri-City - Yes they play in Skyline but put up good showing in Victoria tournament and deserve this spot so far.
Others worth noting: Edina, Angels, Stockmens, Highland Park, Cobras, Blue Package,

| I am telling you cats that "forgetaboutit" is not me. Trust me I have far too much on my plate to post disguised threads.
Yet I am glad someone said Blaine is a very good club. It should perhaps be noted that I threw a one hit shut out against them Saturday in the Vics tourney. So how bout that for an old man? By the way my club made some solid defensive plays as I had only one K.
Thing is...15-20+ years ago there were not hardly any cats in their 40's playing town ball. Ironically enough now there are several. Some pitchers in their 50's milling around out there.
You do the math.

| OK, I happened to see there was a game at South St. Paul tonight and it's close to my home so I went. The Stillwater Loggers have a very good squad. They beat the Irish 4-1 on the road and better than anything is this looks to be a team of all college kids. No 35 year old guys still chasing the "dream". Some great defense and timely hitting. The team is still getting to know each other and beat a very good team of long-time regulars at their park. Now I know anything can happen in this great game of baseball but it was refreshing to see a bunch of nice kids put it to the aging Irish on their field. Irish always a class act but maybe the tide is turning. As for you bashers of the Skyline League and their talent. Not sure what your talking about??? There are some good teams there. The Hogs are very solid. Watch out for the Loggers...they are settling into becoming a very good team. I was impressed with what I saw! Defensively stellar!

| The Stockmen's tourney this weekend could be an interesting showcase of a few bubble teams. Cobras, Highland, Rosetown, Pub and Stockmen's will all be in attendance. Stockmen's generally uses this weekend as a jumping off point for the second half and playoffs, so it could be a good look at what a few of these teams could do the rest of the summer. That being said, it could also be a bit lack luster if teams had/have league games before or after the weekend and use their arms there instead.
