| Congratulations to the Shamrocks for winning their first Class A title. We played them hard twice and lost both...they were well played games by both teams.
It was a hell of a run for us, "the biggest classless goons in Class A". We didn't flick off anyone on a mound visit or throw behind anyone, and we certainly shook everyone's hand that was willing. The host squad drinking during the game, and their constant chirping of everyone post game really showed class. Your field was immaculate all week, minus the enormous infield lip.
Overall, this was my first time to the state tournament, and while I wasn't tournament MVP like 4LetterNetwork predicted, I got a win in the final 4 teams. I'll take that. Hats off to Stockmen's and Park. Lindstrom should save us the headache next year and retire...3 bombs...come on man!
It was a great year of baseball...baseball is a great game. I look forward to the banter on here, and the baseball next year.
I'll be there throwing cutters at 77 on the black.

| Agree in part. Bigger tip of the cap to a very deserving Class A Champ Shammy squad. As for the in game drinking: 99% is post game. Everything thing that happened in that game wasn't 1 way it was both teams fueled be competitiveness not classlessness. Regretable mistakes were made by both clubs. The Bandits are a very good team that plays hard and yes partys hard (sometimes too much no doubt). Bottom line is they are an actual Town-Team (rare in Class A) that Bloomington is proud to have. Again major congrats to the Shammrocks for a great tourney. Also congrats to the final 4 Park Cobras and Bandits as well as the Millers, A's, Hogs, BPD, Pats, Irish, Lyons Pub and Shark for making it to the tourney. Have a great off season Even you Urseth who ever you are.

| Great tourney! Picnic table in center-field was rockin'! Third year in a row for the P-Nash as runner-up. I see Tonka getting older and other teams getting better. Have a great off season!

| Got to agree with you Auggie Tech. Everybody is really good except Tonka. They were horrible all year and played the worst nine innings at state maybe in recorded history. They should be relegated to the Sunday aluminum bat league.

| BobOrr:
The Cobras didn't do anything we regret, and we sure didn't make any "mistakes". If you say both teams were fueled by competitiveness not classlessness, I'll have to disagree. Competitiveness is stealing bases in the 3rd inning of a State Tournament game. Classlessness is throwing behind the next hitter TWICE. According to his teammates, that pitcher had done that before this season. Of course we are going to react to that. That's competitiveness.
I've been on both ends of mercy rule games. Losing sucks. And losing big sucks even more. But I do know one thing. When the last out is made, win or lose, I walk through the line with my head high and shake everyone's hand like a man. If you can't do that, then just stay in the dugout. You look even worse walking through the line not shaking hands than you would if you just sat in the corner of the dugout.
I just have one thing to say about the in-game drinking: it looks bad having guys in uniform drinking outside the dugout. I asked a player if those guys were actually part of the team, and he told me that they don't play. Then get out of uniform. If you want to drink during a game in uniform, then go play softball where you can give up 16 runs and still maybe win the game.
And last, if you're going to drop a "who ever you are" to a previous post, you should probably make sure it's not the guy who just beat you two nights earlier to give your team their first loss of the tourney. That's a bit disrespectful.
Great Year Shamrocks and Congrats! You guys made the plays when needed, and got a couple of big hits in big spots.

| The Cobras didn't do anything they regret? If I can here "f*** you f***t" from your bench, so can all the kids who were there. The majority of guys on both teams stayed classy throughout the game. Neither team is blameless in this one.

| F*Bombs get dropped at baseball games. Especially when a guy throws behind our hitter twice. Or maybe when we get excited because we got out of a jam. If I was worried about my two kids picking up swear words at a baseball game, I would keep them home. Most kids are not even into the game anyway, they are in their own world playing catch, or chasing each other around. If dropping an F*Bomb makes us classless, then I guess we are classless in your mind. We play hard. We shake hands. We hold our heads high. NO REGRETS.

| My kids heard it, Medium Catcher.
My son asked me, "Dad, what's a F****t?" I said, "Son, it's a bundle of sticks." He said, "Why did they call him that?" I said, "Son, it's because he's acting like a large bundle of sticks."
Important teaching tool really.

| Next year ESPN needs to make sure they have at least a 7 second delay on the live games for some buffer room to bleep out any cursing. Hopefully the MBA doesn't get fined...

| I will add that in today's society kids hear more on school buses and playgrounds then they ever will at...at a RECREATIONAL baseball game.
I suggest we have a fine cup under the tent next year and players will make their due deposits upon exiting the field.
