Just a couple quick questions for any team that wants to reply. Is it that bad playin ball in gmfl? What would u like changed that the 2 other fastpitch leagues may do or not do? I had the lady that runs funtimers email me bout 3 gmfl teams asking to join that league so i was just wondering.....

The disparity in this league is pretty appalling. Maybe some teams want to be able to compete in an atmosphere more condusive to their skill set. Maybe some teams would like to play in a league that is a little less "serious"... There are a lot of factors in play here. No one wants to see a team (or a few) leave the league, but unfortunately, teams, leagues, players, etc... runs it's course...

I see your point Kenny but I have to disagree with the appalling disparity. Everyone has their good and bad games when they hit the ball like crazy but anyone can walk away with a win on any given night. Hardrockers battled fairly against TCO only Losing 22-20! (Not a word from you Colin) Jays had Range rovers beat till the 6th one game. The final this year was only 22-20 in extra innings... yes triple had a bad game vs the pigs the other night but that could have easily been you guys against any other team.

If its the seriousness that offends ppl then okay, maybe a different league is better for them..but I dont agree to you stating that some teams are appallingly worse than others.

Ok Kenny, then how do we fix it or is there no solution to this problem. Maybe A division and B division fight your way back to A or drop to B ????? That's all Colin is asking is there any thing we can change or fix or we can do to help.I still think this is the best league in the city or I would have not played this long.

Well Colin, I wasn't being a dick. You wanted some potential answers, I provided a few. If you aren't willing to listen, why ask? I like this league, and I believe it is the best orthodox league around but we need to be cognizant of a few different reasons that teams would leave.

so I will add my 2 cents to this
- this year was one of the most competieve years in a long time
- there was tight games for all teams from top to bottom, like kelly mentioned TCO had a lot of close games, Infield had a ton of close games, Pigs had ties and tons of other close games.

Every year teams are wanting to leave thinking if they went to another league they have a chance to win it. I have played in the other 2 ortho leagues in the city but they do not compare to our league. All the leagues in the city play on small diamonds but have different rules, no beer in the one but they have paid ump's every game. All the leagues are serious and everyone wants to win and don't want to be a losing team.

I think we just need to make some changes to our league maybe look at getting a second diamond, try to find diamonds that are 275 feet, maybe GW at rambler, add the dh to the field then, things that can be discussed.

if you go to the other leagues your going to have the same issues is what I am in the end saying small diamonds and different league rules. if you want to leave and think like Colin had said the grass is greener elsewhere well in the end it is your choice.

The league put on a wonderfull alstar day and I know my kids enjoyed it and having the fundraiser bbq was a good thing to add as well. I love this league and have been in it for a long time and hope to play in it for more years.

I didn't mean any disrespect to Range rovers, Davin and all the other teams that I didn't mention as having close games I just don't follow every game and every team.
