| After playing and watching the games this past weekend I can't help but notice people that are clearly using shaved bats. A 5'9 160lb person should not be hitting the ball 350+. What happened to the integrity of the game?? It's pathetic that someone is going take the risk of hurting someone just to get there self more known for hitting the ball far. someone is going to get killed out here because people have to alter there bats to keep up with competition. Hopefully we see a change next season.....

| I have a very simple solution to the bat problem in 2 steps...
1. If you are suspicious of a particular bat you must identify yourself and not use a fake name to throw accusations around.
2. The suspect will turn over the bat to a neutral party. The bat is inspected. If the bat is shaved then the accused is banned from the league and goes home with a useless bat. If the bat isn't shaved, the accuser is suspended for 8 games and buys the accused 3 replacement bats.
This will reduce the use of shaved bats in the league and probably eliminate another problem....people anonimously accusing others of using shaved bats without having any evidence of the crime other than a gut feeling.

| Amendment 1- The accuser will not be allowed to play in the league until the bat debt is satisfied.

| Amendment 2- Jay Jackson will be given a shaved bat to use because it is painful to watch a person of his size hit so poorly. Jackson with a shaved bat should not increase risk of injury to any defensive players.

| I never post on here, but could not resist this opportunity to bring up a subject that has been bothering me. Shavers pose a safety hazard, but hitting up the middle is also a hazard. The pitcher for my team, Chris " Rev Lev" has been hit numerous times this season. Last time really damaging his wrist. I can see if an inexperienced player put it up the middle, but players who play higher level leagues should not go there in e- level Sunday morning rec ball. Most of the time, there is no sportsmans to offer an apology or see if he is ok. In the playoffs I saw someone almost batting outside the box and went straight up the middle constantly and did not a say a word , just smiled. Not cool in my book. There is a place for that in competitive tournaments, but no too sure about e - division rec league. I just hope no ones gets hurt , especially if it can be avoided.
