| IV BBL Championship KMR vs. Godfathers: This one is a tough one to predict ... no guys, not who will win... but how much Godfather will win by. Nobody has been able to touch Godfather this season so my initial gut is that Godfather will win by 20 points. Then I heard this morning that Raz is hitting the tanning bed followed by a brazilian wax treatment before the game so you know means business. When Raz feels beautiful he tends to play with more confidence. Now don't get crazy, that doesn't mean he will score. It just means he might set another illegal screen or two or agitate his opponents a little more, which might might mean Godfather only wins by 12 points. But then I look at Godfather and how balanced they are. They have an alpha dog in Jed who can create offense. The Robin to Jed's Batman is the scottie-pippinesque Chris Davis. Stigilitz, Russ and Brian provide energy, hustle and interior scoring, while Captain Tom provides choreography. There just isn't any weakness, and you know Jed isn't the kind of guys who's going to let his teammates take their feet off the throat of an opponent in the name of good sportsmanship. So now I'm thinking Godfather by 19. Then again, KMR is the classic grinder. More Joe Frazier than Ali - unless you consider their trashtalking on the court. KMR just always feels disrespected and plays with a chip on their shoulder. They complain when it's said that Steve Brooks doesn't have enough offense to be a NO. 1 draft pick (whaaaa). They wine that Paul and Cliff should be first round draft picks (whaaaa.) They get pissed when people are shocked they make the finals (whaaa). But they used all that negative energy to finish with a 4-2 mark in the league and propel the franchise to its first BBL championship game. So now I am thinking the proud KMR squad is going to only lose by 11. But on the other hand, I just got word that after tanning and grooming, Raz said he is going to have his biggest offensive performance of his career. He said has been working on his outside shooting and plans to unleash 3-point bombs on Godfather. That's it. The nail in the coffin. I'm going Godfather by more than 20 points.
