| MEETINGS ARE SCHEDULED FOR 2/10. 2/17, AND 2/24 AT 7:00 AT REKO'S.
Men with Bats and Corner Bakery have left the league. Players from each team would like to play in league - please post if you need players.
10 of 12 other teams are back with pub and ultra working on their rosters and hoping to remain.
Wolfpack from fall wants in, but needs a rule change to join league.
Several teams want into warwick sunday, but can't get in, may need rule changes to join coventry
FINALLY, I will not hold a position with the League this year. I will run my team and help the new president/board until the season starts.
It was a difficult decision, but when organizing my priorities, running the league came in last place. It's not fair to anyone, that I stay involved under those circumstances. I've loved running this League, but I won't miss it. It's a brutal job that needs attention every day of the week. I was fortunate to run the League into and through the high times of RI softball. Softball teams and participation are declining across the state in every League. If you know someone in their 20's who may be interested, bring them on board. My favorite part of this League is the fact that so many great players have learned the game on Sunday mornings in Coventry. We have a very competitive league that is filled with players who have played on awful teams. The opportunity that this league offers to be both new and awful, interested and excited is the key to our success. Tournament players, tournament teams, exemptions, and superstars make this league competitive, but the new teams, young players, and opportunity Coventry offers makes this league great.
The most important thing is this:
Mission Statement: The primary objective of the Coventry Men’s Softball League (CMSL) is to: promote competition and symmetry throughout the league, promote and/or maintain membership, while preserving the integrity of the league and its by-laws. The CMSL’s main responsibility is to the organization itself and to the players it encompasses. The CMSL is not concerned and will not take into consideration the concerns of other leagues, organizations and sponsors.
Good luck to all this season! Thanks for everything! See you out there!

| First off a huge thank you to Ian for all your work over the numerous years you headed the league. The amount of time, effort, and energy you put into is obvious to anyone who was playing here 10+ years ago. The amount of aggravation and grief you dealt with was more than a lot of us would have put up with but you did and made this league one of the best if not the bet league in the state. From all of us on CM thank you and now enjoy just being a player/coach again and having fun!!
