| Hello Fannin Dixie Coaches and Board Members,
The Trenton Sports Association (TSA) would like to extend an invitation to your organization/team to participate in our end of season/pre-all star season tournament to be held May 29 - June 1 at the Trenton City Park.
The age groups will be 7-8 Boys (coach pitch), and 9-10 boys (kid pitch). For each age group Trenton will combine their two regular season teams to form one tournament team. So Trenton will have one 8U team, and one 10U team in the tournament. We require all players on the Trenton teams to be 2014 registered players with TSA and to have participated in the 2014 Dixie Spring Season with their respected teams/age group. We would like to invite you to do the same to form a single team from each town/organization. However you are certainly welcome to bring the same team(s) you had in the regular season. Bonham should not combine teams because of the size of their pool of players. Bonham should bring their regular season teams. Please only bring players registered in your own organization for the 2014 spring season. This is not a "select all star" tournament. This is a chance for each town to form your own team, from your own pool of players, to compete against other players from your own Fannin Dixie League. In the event we are short on teams TSA may invite teams from other neighboring organizations to make for a better tournament experience for all. This could also be viewed as an opportunity for coaches to see players across the league at one venue to evaluate All-Star considerations.
Each team will be guaranteed 3 games. Pool play will start on Thursday night and will conclude early Saturday. Bracket play will start Saturday and conclude Sunday. Pool play will not determine seeding in the bracket. Brackets will be pre-seeded. Each team will play 2 pool play games and a minimum 1 Bracket game. The Bracket play will be single elimination.
8U: Pool Play games will be 1:15 drop dead time limit. Bracket play will be 1:15 time limit - finish the inning.
10U: Pool Play games will be 1:30 drop dead time limit. Bracket play will be 1:30 time limit - finish the inning.
Awards will be given to the 1st and 2nd place teams players from each age group.
We also plan to have a home run derby for each age group between the end of pool play and beginning of bracket play on Saturday. Details on the derby have not been finalized but there will be a small entry fee for the derby.
Cost for the tournament will be $250 per team. There will be no gate fees. TSA will have a fully functional concession stand and will provide Umpires. Please support our concession stand as this will be our primary source of revenue for the tournament.
All Fannin Dixie Rules will apply including pitching rules per the 2014 Dixie Rule Book. The 2014 Official Rules and Regulations for Dixie Youth Baseball will be the reference source in the event of any rule disputes. All teams are expected to comply with the Dixie Rules set forth in the 2014 rule book and time limits listed above.
Trenton will have two wonderful new eating venues open and the concession will be operating all weekend with all the regular treats.

| We need teams. There are still several slots open for both age groups.
Bonham will be allowed to combine players if needed so no kids are left out. However please understand this is not an all-star tournament. We want to provide the opportunity for some players who have the desire to play, and the ability to play, to experience tournament baseball who may otherwise not get picked on all stars. Bring your all stars too but lets try to field as many teams as we can.
The rest of the towns in Fannin are allowed to combine your players into one team as we are doing in Trenton.
I prefer the tourney to be made up primarily of Fannin Dixie Teams. So far, I have not received many calls, texts, or emails from Fannin Dixie. Please let me know asap if you plan to bring a team in either age group. I need to fill the brackets with 8 teams from each age group. I will need to start reaching out to other organizations soon if the Fannin bunch don't enter. So please call or text and let me know ASAP if you want in.

| I still have 4 slots open for 7-8 Boys. I have not heard from Dodd City or Honey Grove. Only 1 Bonham team has signed up. So if you are planning on bringing a 7-8 team please call me ASAP to enter.
We have 6 confirmed and one probable for 9-10 boys. We can take 1-2 more for this age group.

| See below for your pool play times. I will have the bracket posted at the pavilion for all to see. Be sure you check the bracket for your bracket play times!
Because of the number of teams we decided on a double elimination bracket for 7-8 boys. 9-10 boys will remain single elimination.
Upon arrival for your first game please see the concession stand to pay your $250 entry. Make sure they document your payment on the form that will be in the concession.

| HOME RUN DERBY DETAILS
$5.00 Entry Fee
We will start the 7-8 home run derby around 1:00 Saturday on the tball field.
We will start the 9-10 boys home run derby around 12:00 Saturday on the 200' field.
Please form a line OUTSIDE the gate to each field. We will take your name and money at the gate and you will get instructions from there.
FORMAT:
HEAD TO HEAD UNTIL A SINGLE WINNER IS DETERMINED.
PLAYER WITH THE MOST HOME RUNS ADVANCES TO NEXT ROUND.
IF NEITHER PLAYER HITS A HOME RUN THE FARTHEST HIT BALL (WHERE IT LANDED) DETERMINES ADVANCEMENT TO THE NEXT ROUND.
EACH PLAYER WILL GET 15 PITCHES OR 10 HITS WHICHEVER OCCOURS FIRST.
IF NO HITS ARE MADE IN 15 PITCHES THE PLAYER(S) DOES NOT ADVANCE OR RECEIVE MORE BALLS.
EACH PLAYER MAY HAVE THEIR PITCHER OF CHOICE FROM THEIR DISTANCE OF CHOICE. AN L SCREEN WILL BE PROVIDED AND REQUIRED FOR PITCHERS. YOUTH PITCHERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A HELMET.
THERE WILL BE ONE HOME RUN DERBY CHAMPION FROM EACH AGE GROUP. METALS WILL BE AWARDED TO THE CHAMPS! BATS MUST BE DIXIE APPROVED BATS FOR THESE AGE GROUPS. NO BATS WITHOUT THE PROPER STAMPS AND LARGER THAN 1-1/4" WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE DERBY. THE DERBY WILL BE A CHANCE FOR ALL THE KIDS TO HANG OUT TOGETHER AND HAVE FUN MAKING NEW FRIENDS. PLEASE TELL YOUR PLAYERS TO KEEP IT FUN AND FRIENDLY.
