| I would like to take this opportunity to address some important issues as our season moves towards the final few weeks of the regular season.
1. As I said at the summer meetings, it is VERY IMPORTANT that EVERY team follow the rules regarding official team rosters. ANY team caught using a player not on their official roster will have that game IMMEDIATELY forfeited. NO EXCEPTIONS. ALL teams are urged to bring their smart phone to each game to reference the league website to access teams roster if there is a question about a possible ineligible player.
2. As was agreed on at the summer meetings. the TOP EIGHT teams will qualify for the post season. The other seven teams will have a B division playoff.
3. We have experienced some problems regarding start times of games. As stated in the PVTFL rule book, GAME TIME IS FORFEIT TIME. If you cannot field a team of 8 players at the start of your scheduled game, the officials are instructed to forfeit the game. If your team is not prepared to play at the scheduled time,it is not the responsibility of the referee's or the other teams that are impacted due to the lack of accountability. A late start in one game impacts the start times of the other games at that field. Many players have other obligations on Sunday ( work. family etc..) These players count on getting games starting on time that allows them to get to work or get home in time to take their kids to their gamers too.
3. Keep in mind that ALL OF US play this game because we love the game. We ALL share a passion to play football. Have RESPECT for the league, RESPECT your team mates and the players of your opponent. Remember... ALL OF US just want to play football, EVERYONE should conduct yourselves as if your children and/ or your Mother is watching you!! ACCOUNTABILITY, RESPONSIBILITY, RESPECT AND CLASS!
