| Over the years a lot of banter has gone back and forth over baseball superiority between the various leagues. The FOY is offering a $500 rebate on league fees to any team that enters our league and wins the championship. ANY TAKERS? Contact the league if interested.

| Make it wood bat, lower the age min, have an all star game vs other leagues, and have a home run derby, and you will get more teams and not have to offer rebates.

| It took you 30 days to come up with those profound thoughts. If that was a recipe for success give an example of where this formula is being practiced. Besides, nothing prohibits wood bats from being used in our league games presently.
We have had All-Star games before. They are usually not a true representation of the better players from each team. Most teams do not send their best pitching. We have tried listing all players and positions for voting purposes. That has not worked, because most players do not know the names of the players they play against.
As for a home run derby, not much skill in hitting batting practice groove pitches.
Lastly the age issue, we have some great players playing successfully into their 40's. Lowering the age would push these players out of FOY. I don't know that would make us a better league. The 2005 championship A's team had blend of players that included some 50 year olds.
The offer that started this thread was a challenge to see if any new blood had the stones to step up. NOT LIKELY!
