Well here goes...

Surf vs. Mercy. Surfcowboys have had a nice season and are a good team unit. They do the right things. However, Basketball isn't always about doing the right things...it's about putting the frickin' ball through the hoop more than your opponent. No Mercy has some serious fire power....they could care less about defense as long as they're always ahead. Basically, their style is to come out swinging...and never put the gloves up. This will disrupt Surf Cowboys - they don't know how to handle disorder and chaos and that's what No Mercy is all about. No Mercy wins by 5

GodFathers vs. KMR. KMR is one of those teams you can't discount. Everyone focuses on Reggie, but they forget about the Defense and toughness of Brooks and the evsiveness of Stigletts (which tore up God Fathers last time they played). But, God Fathers is tough man, they have offense, deffense, rebounding, quickness and brains. They're unselfish and will outhustle you. Basically, you have to be on your A game and have to be conditioned to play against these guys. Nobody likes to play them because they're tough and will make you work. God Fathers wins this one...

As the unofficial spokesperson for KMR could not let another jab at my teammates go without saying something. to whoever made that last post, it's you and some others in the league that gives KMR that chip on our shoulder every week. n for a team that was picked to be one of the worst teams preseason, we love the motivation/HATE and we will keep fighting all the way to the chip. KMR! YOU WANT SOME COME GET SOME! KMR OUT!

Actually, KMR was picked last in the initial write up. GodFathers was second to last.

6. Godfather: Speaking of the Godfathers, nobody ever likes Villanti’s drafts but Villanti. Critics claim he selects beer-drinking buddies instead of basketball players. Did he make the same mistake again? If you ask me, Villanti nailed his first two picks with Zack and Heagle. The question left to be answered is if David Hahl, Vince Zwaydk (drinking buddy alert!) and Brandon Heagle can help Godfather win its first BBL championship? Villanti also has an ace in the hole. He went for the best of both worlds with his last pick when he drafted the ultimate drinking buddy in Party Randy, who has a BBL record four titles to his credit. Could Party Randy be the difference? If that’s the case, it’s gonna’ be one hell of a championship celebration.
7. KMR: Is this team going to see a lot of zone defense this season of what? KMR GM Raz sold his draft board to get Steve Brooks again – the only first-rounder nice enough to answer Raz’s calls every day. That kind of emotional comfort was worth trading away a second round pick. Raz used the rest of his draft picks to snare Reggie “What’s this arcing red line 21 feet from the basket for?” Perry and Mike Stiglitz. He also took on sharpshooters Matt Russell and Jeff Wheeler. Here’s the key. You know KMR is going to play defense, but do they have enough offense. If they shoot well from outside and get out on transition that will open it up for Reggie. If they don’t, well … I can see what their half court offensive sets will look like – Reggie putting his head down and driving recklessly into a wall of five defenders, while his teammates look on helplessly. At least Raz will have his Tuesday morning phone calls with Brooks to help him endure a long season. Look on the bright side Brooks … next fall is right around the corner.
