We have two teams that are completely paid up and one that promised to be paid up next week. We need the rest of the league fees from the remaining teams. I know managers have been after their players to pay up and this message is simply to reinforce that ALL players that have not paid yet, need to help their manager and team come up with their league fee. My way of thinking is that if you (managers) have tried and your players are not paying, simply don't let them play, even if that means a forfeit. It's only about $100 a man and we have all known about this league fee since February. Nobody is too good to play and not pay, I don't care who it is. We are all adults. $100 and soon the $25 membership is actually cheap to play ball for a whole summer. The FOY has expenses, lights, sewer, water, gas for the equipment: maintenance on the equipment, time spent preparing the field for you all to play on. If two teams without a sponsor can collect the league fee, everybody else should be able to do that too. PLEASE PAY YOUR FAIR SHARE!

I myself paid my dues, and there is no excuse for guys to not pay for their fees. But you gotta ask, what incentive is there for guys to fork over $100 knowing 2 hours of rain on Friday morning is gonna cancel Saturday afternoon games all summer long. Why pay for maintenance to the field when it's not actually being performed. (Aside from the once a week grass cut). Maybe someone needs to step up and get the "lazy" rainouts under control.

Here we go again, another arm-chair critic talking about which he does not know. The League does not have a 40 man grounds crew or the budget to spread 40 bags of turface after each rainstorm. Fridays rain was locally 5 inches. The field sits in a floodplain so it does not drain well.

Municipal facilities use field drying agents to the extreme . Try sliding in August when the dirt is like concrete.

This thread started about League fees not field conditions. One individual's fees is small part of the big picture that addresses the Leagues financial responsibility.

We have one player in the League this year who played all last year,

He quit the Chiefs with 3 games to go and stiffed the League for his membership fee.
He thinks all is forgiven. I think not.
