| Despite being undermanned and without the leadership of coach Smith for the first time in a decade BOTELHOS defeated scrappy United Mechanical in two hard fought battles 27-5 and 15-4. Jay Jackson distinguished himself from the leadoff spot and continues to be a front runner for League MVP. United Mechanical may not lead the league in wins but they are among the league leaders is good looking fans.
On another note, word is former CMSL alum Emily/Matt Clark continues to dominate the woman's league. hitting that smaller and harder ball with the lighter far peppy-er lady's bat has made Emimatt the Neil Lesniak of the CWSL. And really, who doesnt want to be be Neil Lesniak ? Even for one day? Even if it requires you to wear a wig and sports bra and pancake makeup and and learn how to prance and tape your mini-Miken down..the point is ...DOMINATION. We wish all of our former alumni well...Joe Machado is Texas, Tom McGrath in Utah and wherever Nicky Prata is playing and making new friends to scrounge off...we wish him well too.
TRUST is winning it this year..we are all thinking it. Im just saying it.
