| The District 18 Big League All-Star Team, (17&18yr olds) which has 3 Holbrook players, Timmy Beck, Andrew Ludavico and Scott Ricci, won a big doubleheader over District 3 last night to become the NJ State Champions!!
They now advance to the Eastern Region Championships in Dover, DE on Saturday!!
The team is Managed by District 18 DA - Elect, Frank Trenkle and coached by our very own, huggable and lovable poke'mon, David Ricci Sr. :)
Highlights from the Games include:
Game # 1, Score 6-3: Great pitching from starter Nicolas Chirichello (5 IP, 5 K's 6 Hits, 2 Runs) and closer Andrew Ludovico (2 IP, 1K, 1 Hit, 1 Run). Key hits from Justin Santiago (3 for 3 with a triple - 3 RBI's), Dan Berg (1 for 2, 2 Hits and 1 RBI) and Teddy Gonzalez (1 for 3, 1 RBI).
Game # 2, Score 3-1: Complete game pitching from David Clark (7 IP, 4 K's, 4 Hits, 1 Run). Big hits again from Teddy Gonzalez again (2 for 3, 1 2B and 1BB). Stellar defense all around from the team.
