This year will be the last time the Paoli Rams play the Brownstown Braves in football in the foreseable future... so it had me going back to what I call the best game at Cook Field... you know September 30th they are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Cook field... THE #1 game there has to be Paoli beating Brownstown 53-0 in 1997 for one it is the only time in the past 25 years Brownstown has been shutout in football... and it's the best ass kicking performance football game I have seen from a Paoli Football Team... now people say "yeah but Paoli beat Crawford County 75-7" okay let me explain in that 1997 game... Brownstown had a 27 game winning streak... only gave up 8 points a game was ranked #5 in Class 2A.... had nothing to lose Paoli came out in the first half scored on a 98 yard run... 91 yard screen pass 67 yard TD run.. 36 yard TD Run... game over it was such a shocker Brownstown's Coach Reed May stood in shock the final quarter wth his headset off the Rams would finish off the game with scoring runs of 82 yards and 97 yards
