| Holbrook 11's are 2016 NJ State Baseball Champions!!!
With a solid 7-0 Win over Millville on Wed night, the Holbrook 11 yr old All-Stars were crowned the
2016 NJ State Little League Baseball Champions!!
Garret Drew started and got his second consecutive State Tournament win!! RJ Vashey closed the game out to preserve the shutout.
In a tight, well played defensive game by both sides, the score was 0-0 after 3 innings. Holbrook scored 3 in the 4th and 1 in the 5th to take a 4-0 lead.
Charlie Meglio lead off the 6th with a monster solo shot to left, and Vashey drove in 2 runs with a double to break the game open and put Holbrook up 7-0.
This was Holbrook's second win over Millville in the States by a combined 25-0 score.
Since 11yr olds don't advance past States, they become the first team in the 54yr History of Holbrook LL to WIN its last Little League Tournament game and thus become the "last team standing"....
Something only 1 team gets to claim at every age division.
