Good evening Players!...it sure has been awhile. Spring is Here, and surely is the game of football.

I'd just like to touch bases on where we are in Mens 8-on-8 Flag football in reference to Leagues, competition, favorites, and expectations.

To my understanding you have your Bowie, Trinidad, Waffl, and Ely Leagues. Now ima be all the way straight with you guys i dont know much about whats going on in the "Bowie League" I've ventured out there for a season once and it was good games going on but much of my memory from it has gone to a blurr. Teams in the Bowie League will compete and most of the time you dont see them up against teams from Ely or Waffl unless its tournament play.

Moving on to the "Trinidad League"...ok so Here is a League that in my opinion is playing little Brother to the "Ely League". The "Trinidad League" seems to me as a developmental League of sort. They recently had a couple teams removed because the League felt as though they were being finessed in ways of teams being manipulative and overly competitive. Long story short, one or two teams were pretty dominant throughout the season. Now dont get me wrong I like what they are doing in the "Trinidad League" its good for morale and the classes of competion in the area. Stepping stones for making a name for yourself.

The "Ely League"....a.k.a "House of Champions". What the *Bleep* happened this year!?!? Its so quiet over there you can hear a Mouse piss on cotton! Ive never seen the "Ely League" with such shortage of teams. The "Waffl League" gets a new Location and teams are jumping ship faster than Rich white folk on a cruise ship headed for an iceburg! *I've never done stand-up*. Like damn is it something I'm missing here, throw me a bone people! "The "Waffl League" bulked up with teams and The "Ely League" may be thinking of a No League this Spring. Whatever happens Ely will always have my respect! That League put out the best this area had to offer for decades.

Last but not least...The "Waffl"....i miss the old days when the "Waffl" had about three fields and it was just football, competitive screams, and "Gators" cookout in the Air! That environment was a Staple of this areas football community. Maybe with this New Location for the " Waffl" "Smoke", "Van" and the others are making our wish come True...well mine at the least. This Spring Season in the "Waffl" is looking to be a very interesting one with a melting pot of teams and the unfamiliarity of them as well. Two fields, two games at once, great competition and fierce rivalrys will once again meet up on the Gridiron for bragging rights and the Claim for Flag Superiority.

If you've read this far into my article than i must have your attention. With that being said I'd like any and all's bold predictions on the Spring Season for the "Waffl League" for this is the "Waffl" board rightfully so.

I'll go first, I'll start with my top 5 teams and its not in order: Smokin Ducks, Rebels, AU, Extreme Odds, and for 5th its a toss up with Savages reppin Bmore and (OGA)Omega Gridiron Angels. I got wiff of who "OGA" will consist of and I believe very much that they will compete. So out of these 5 teams my Favorite to Win the Spring EOS will be "AU" I just believe they have the experience, football IQ, and skill level to win it all.

Thats my take Gents. Best of Luck to all the Teams in Bowie, Trinidad, Ely, and Waffl this Spring and may the Best Teams Win! See you Guys Sunday!!!
