| Just to have a better undersatanding on this aspect of my "new hobbie" (Even though, it is still supposed to be "for fun"), can we talk a bit about rules of conduct???.
For example: Passing.
Is there a rule or reccomendation as far as passing or giving way?, I have some experience in real life where you either close the door in a Clean block, or you give the "INSIDE"...
Usually there are suggested passing areas (Mostly located in hard braking areas and exit turns) and "NO" you are not supposed to take the outside while passing in a turn!!! (Yet is very possible and looks-feels AWESOME).
For US (Real Rookies), is kind of a soft to try and figure out how get faster without having to mess your lap times.
This is a very extense topic (Passing is just the tip of it), please elbaborate in any areas (Black flaggers preferably).

| Here's a repost of some of Ed's driving advice. There's another thread on page 3 called Driving Technique and Suggestions. It covered a few of your questions. Here's a sample.

Just remember, when getting lapped by faster cars it's important to remember these things:
1.Don't suddenly change your racing line or begin to zig-zag when a faster car or the leader of the race approaches. Try and be courteous and just give him a little room on the inside of the next corner.
2.When coming out of a corner with the leader behind you, accelerate as you normally would: he is expecting you to and if you don't, he can very easily run into the back of you. (In other words, don't stop and wait for someone to pass you)
3.When the leader or whomever is lapping you gets by, do not try to re-pass him or get too close on the next corner. You've just broken his rythm by holding him up for a few corners, and it takes a couple of corners after he passes you to get his rythm and race line back again and get back up to speed.
