| Gentalmen the State series brings drivers from around the state for a 2 day event. This helps promote the hobby and promotes our track. I am trying to get more of these events since South Florida has long been involved in the State series. We will have an event at Royal Palm Raceway May 14th and 15th. Any questions from drivers who wish to attend can be discussed here.

| ROAR Rules apply to these races. For more info please visit our link section which has a link to roar. Also you MUST be a ROAR member to race at this event. You can sign up at the track anytime.
Not quite sure when the trophies will be issued. This still needs to be decided. I believe sunday would would be the best day for this after races. 3 qualifiers 1 race. 2 qualifiers on sat and 1 qualifier and race on sunday.

| I also wanted to say thanks to Andrew and Eric for pitting my main. I also didn't break much the whole weekend but in my second lap of my main someone I crashed and the turn marshal took forever to get me. In that time someone tried to jump my car and the following happened: 1 radio plate, 1 KO servo, and 1 fuel tank that was ripped into 2 perfect pieces. So Needless to say I was out of the race after 2 laps. I was at least able to take everyone from Miami track to a great BBQ place that I spotted on the way too Captiva Island. It was great food and good people. I can't wait too show everyone a few more places I know.

Andrew and I had a great week-end.
Our thanks to Eric & Andy for pitting Andrew during his mains (you guys saved me from a lot of chastisement had I had to pit!). Your helpful expertise and advise had him "crying for joy"! Our thanks also goes out to DJ, Maxie and others who helped us (both) survive his first state race. We couldn't have done it without all you guys.

| Miami has ALWAYS supported the State Series. I was happy to attend and support our drivers. I was also excited to further promote our track in South Florida (Royal Palm) so that those up north can come and enjoy our facilities as much as South Florida has enjoyed the other tracks. It can only get better for everyone. I am very proud of our drivers 2 of which was their first time at an outside track. Both did very well with respectable lap times and a B main possition for Eric. I know with a little more polishing A main is around the corner. Goes to show what practice at Royal Palm can do. Alex I enjoyed the ribs!!!! they were a-lot better at 3:30am LOL. Guys this weekend is practice Sat and a for fun club race for sunday as I establish the next series. everyones welcome....

| Ok no more m18 talk, that comes after the Trophy race. All you local guys need to get ready for this race. This will be an exciting opportunity to get to race against some of the best in the state. There's nothing more fun that racing against 30-50 guys. DOn't worry if you feel like a "novice" If you been to this track a few times, you already have an advantage over the guys that haven't. There aren't divided "classes" in this race, but drivers wind up in heats with drivers in their same levels based on qualifying times. The important thing here for you new guys is to get out in the next few weeks and find a setup that you're comfortable with and have it ready by then. That way, when race day comes, don't have to worry about setup, and just worry about solid qualifiers. For you more experienced locals, you know the drill. It's time to show the visitors what RPR's drivers can do. The show is in 3 weeks, I hope we get a good turnout.

| i wonder how many people will show up for the race. it seems like the attendance at the state races has been getting lower; maybe a lot of people are getting tired towards the end of the season. hopefully we can get a good crowd. i was talking to chris (he runs the naples track), and he said he was going to give his race next season to andy--- so it will be a regular points race. i think that would be cool. if we got two that would be even better. anyhow, i will see you guys hopefully on saturday to practice!!!

| For you serpent guys, I posted a recommended starting set-up for the Miami race this weekend. It is rctech.net under the 710 forum. hope it help. this is the set up I start with when I go to the track. I found that this is the best combo for the bumps and for the layout. It allows you you to be a little lazy with the car, but still handles well. you can also call me if you to not understand my post. 305-586-6072

| Thank Dj for the setup……Now can you or anybody that race under Roar rules know about the body, the cut’s “holes” what the legal diameter for the from windshield hole and the rear one, the Roar rules doesn’t say anything about the holes in the body also can we cut the side windows and wish one…….Thanks in advance……

| Yeah the hole rules are in there, you just have to dig around. 50mm in the front is the limit. You can have one "Cooling" hole and one "fueling" hole over the tank (30mm) if you have two holes, the two holes cannot be intrsecting and the front cooling hole must be on the windshield part of the body, it can't cross the winshield. You can cut the front side windows out, not the rear ones. The back window you can do whatever you want. cut the whole thing out or just a little. whatever. the rear "bumper" of the body must be cut along the body lines, you can't go too high. The rear spoiler cannot be higer than the roofline. If you take a straight edge bubble level that goes from the roof ot the spoiler, the bubble must be in the middle. It's best to just leave that for last till race day so you can just cut it little by little and test it till it passes so you don't cut it too low. hope this helps, it's all i can remember and I need to get back to sleep

| Guys remember also. If the rule says 50mm cut it to 48, since your measureing devise may be off from the states. Also check your stinger. It must be less than 5mm, motor must be legal 3 port. max of 200mm on the width. Also I suggest that on saturday morning you go to tech and have them tech your car before you start racing. Tell them that you are new and need help, they are very nice, most of the time. there are a lot of rules, from tank, body weight, etc. Just do not make any cuts that you are not sure of, wait till you go for any questions.

| I had an awesome time this weekend. TQ over night was exciting, too bad Scotty and Giani decided to put me back in my place in the last qualifier :/ To cap it all off, the conrod on my JP gave out when i was running the engine 15 minutes before the main. I never got to run. Andrew got 2nd place in the A main which is awesome. Scotty took out some of his frustration from the bad crash in his 1/8th scale race and won the Sedan main by 4 laps. Roniel bumped up from the B main and took 3rd. I think the visitors liked what they saw. Andy put on a great race. See you all soon.

Andrew drove incredible!!! It was a little unfair for the rest cuzz he had the best pit crew.
Thank you Andy for holding a cool race. I hope more people will start supporting RPR(or at least come back).

By this time people and burned out so they do not come. At least that is what I hear. Congrats to Andy, Hopefully this gets people in the race mood. Also congrats to Andrew for is good race in the A Main, His car looked really good. Also in reference to Omar Jr's post, just to let you know, you are starting just like Scotty did, so keep your dad in high spirits to keep bringing you out, you will see in 9-12 months you will be killing us all.

Congrats to Scotty on setting the standard for the rest to follow, but I was real sorry that he was "taken out" in the 1/8 race since he should have had an easy double (DJ you need to run and give him some competition!). Andrew ran a good race thanks to all the help from you guys. Thank you Alex (I think we make an awesome pit crew!), thanks to Eric, DJ and Maxi in helping with the race engine; thanks also to Johnny & Glen for their kind help and all the others that I may have omitted; and a very special thanks to Andy for staging us a great show. | I am very happy to see everyone had a great time. It was a lot of work but well worth it in the end. The racing was intense and the 1/8th scales put on quite a show! That kind of racing is rare and extreamly exciting for both the racers and the spectators. I would like to especially thank Bob from j-lap he did an outstanding job and was a huge help. I would also like to thank all racers that attended and raced. I had a-lot of fun.
Thanks everyone for making this possible!
MORE RACING AT ROYAL PALM!! I am going to schedule an enduro race for the end of June. I will also schedule the next series soon.

| Jarrod has posted the pics. There an awesome series of Scotty and Chuck driving tight until Chuck hits Scotty from behind and sends him flying. Here's the link:
