| For sedan we use .12's. There are a few RTR's out there with .15's and .18's, but those RTR engines wont keep up with a good .12. If you have a .12 stick with it. You'll be fine. As for tires, you'll need foams. THe Rubber tires don't work well at our track, it's not even close. Usually 37 shore works best and 40 shore on the good traction days can be used also. Andy the track owner usually has tires for sale trackside if you want to try some out. THe new Yellow Elligi tire are probably the best because of the strong rims. What kind of car do you have? Look along the forum and you'll find a few threads with beginner/new racer tips. Good luck. We'll be out racing on Sunday if you're interested. Track will be open for Practice on Saturday.

| No, it's a different Andy. Don't worry, that car will be fine to begin to race. I think a couple of guys at the track have them. You will need foams though. You're right they don't last a real long time. The harder the tire the longer they last, but they don't grip as well. So it's a compromise on what you need. You'll probably need 1 1/2 sets of tires on race day. I usually can use the tires I use in the mains on the next race for qualifying. That's why I say 1 1/2 sets. Tires are between $20-$30 a set depending on where you find them. DOn't worry, racing seems a little expensive at first, but the cost does level out once you get the hang of it and get the things you need. Find the "Newbie Tips" thread and it covers a bunch of things you'll need to to be prepared. DOn't forget a few spare parts for your car as there aren't may at the track where you can borrow parts from. You'll probably need mostly Front and rear Arms and uprights as those are what breaks the most when you crash. Read that thread and you'll feel better. Good luck, hope to see you this weekend. I'll be there on Sunday, I'm the one with the Starter box on a shopping cart.

| CJ come on out and bring what you have. Let me say for the most part eric is correct but everythings relative. Rubber tires work but foams grip better. Can you run with rubber and practice?... sure. tire wear is relative to alot of things most important how often you are on the track running and how fast. Eric is one of our fastest drivers so he will wear tires much faster than someone with a HPI RTR. his engine also produces more power even though he has a .12 The point is to come out and bring what you have and adjust to what YOU need.
