| Well while we're looking for a new location I went to Go Racing Hobbies today to race. Alex and I met up with David, Andrew, and Frankie. We tried to show them how tough we Miami drivers are and I think we put on a nice show. The track is a little short and tight, but it's flowing and forgiving. None of us broke anything all day from hitting the boards, other cars was a different story. But the facilities, or rather lack of them, (it's in the middle of a parking lot) Really made me miss RPR's covered area. The drive isn't too bad. It's about 40 minutes from my house in Kendall but it's pretty smooth on a Sunday. They start racing a little later there and start around 1ish. So there's no worrying about having to get there early.
Frankie had a solid day qualifying and wound up in the C main. In the break before the Main he had to take apart his front end to change a belt, but unfortunately forgot to charge his Rx pack which died when he was in 3rd place during the main. Andrew had a little trouble navigating through traffic in his qualifiers and wound up qualifying #1 in the B main. Alex drove as well as I've seen him and was 4th in the B main. At the start, Andrew and Alex took off and were 1 & 2. One of the faster local guys got by Alex so he was running third and doing well making passes and really doing great. Unfortunately he got tangled up in a drag race on the straight and got slammed by a third driver which broke his rear arm and took him out for the day. Andrew meanwhile was pulling away and had a 4 lap lead. But disaster hit when he ran out of fuel before he could make it in to his last pit. David got him re-started and he was still in the lead but the car shut off as he pulled out of the pit. He wound up finishing 2nd by ONE lap. I was provisional TQ after my first run, until Mr. Go Racing, Rene Javios, beat me, but he was the only one to out qualify me for the A main. At the start Rene reacted slow to the horn and I got by him in the hole-shot and took off in first and never looked back. I think he wound up crashing out early. I was lucky enough to lead from start to finish. They make you work over there. Most of the guys drove hard and wouldn't just GIVE you the pass, but I worked hard enough and made some slick passes to win by 4 laps. This local guy Mike that I had helped a bit with some clutch tuning on his Mugen wound up in second. I mention him cuz his Mugen :) But he was a good driver too though, definitely let me work for my passes.
It was a fun experience since the 4 of us went and pitted together and always helped each other out. I'll make sure to post or send an email the next time I go. Maybe we can get a bigger group out there next time. Hope to see everone on Micro Night on Wednesday at Dave & Buster's.

| I'm not sure, I'm going to find the schedule. I think they have points races every other week. It's fun in a group but it makes for a long day. We didn't get back home till 9ish. So I think I'll only be going one or two Sundays a month.

| I have to add. I kicked but! I've never driven that good and it was really cool to see myself actually passing people. Although someone took me oout it was still my best race. My fastest lap was (I think) 1/2 sec slower than Andrew. That's real good for me. I have to agree that the track is very forgiving. The parimeter wall is flexible so you just bounce off and bounce off and bounce off... Yes I do crash alot. But it's fun anyway. I track is a bit small but there's lots of turns so you learn quickly how to time the turns and how to quickly set up for the next turn. Hope to see more RPR guys out there.

| Congrats to Eric on his "A" win on his first outing at Go Racing. Andrew and I had a good time too. Thanks guys for the the help and special thanks to Alex's (again) for his sharing of table, canopy etc.
CORRECTION on the problem that Andrew had in the "B" main: He DID NOT run our of gas. When he stalled out with about 2 minutes left in the race he still had almost a 1/2 tank. I think his engine simply over-heated which was also the reason that we had trouble getting him restarted. Anyway, he was really bummed out, because he had wanted to "bump up" and run with Eric in the "A".
re racing at "Go": I recall Rene telling me that they run races every Sunday (weather permitting) as long as there isn't any away races (State Series etc.) that the local racers are attending (However they may not all be points races).

| Ah sorry about the wrong info, it's wasn't bad pit mangagement after all :) Yeah it got strange later in the day. As the sun went down from my last qualifier to the start of my main an hour later, my engine became SUPER rich when i cranked it up. Alex and I must have tuned it for 10 minutes before I got it right. But it was a ROCKET. No one could keep up with the Mega. It is a monster performer and I'm really liking it after the learning curve. I think the conrod issue is finally being resolved shortly then it will be the only motor in my car.
One more thing I wanted to add about the track. Since it's tight, it could be either incredibly fun with some luck on your side when passing, or incredibly frustrating if you're stuck behind someone who's determined to block you. I had it both this weekend. In one of the qualifiers one guy rolled over on the short chute and no one said anything, I slammed into him full throttle and send his car about 4 feet in the air and pieces just came flying out of his car. Luckily nothing happened to my car. There was even once where I weaved though 3 guys who all tangled up on a turn. Another time, on the lap I was supposed to pit, I stupidly managed to Roll my car OVER the wall on the last turn before the pit and Luckily slid accross the track toward the pit exit. The Marshall rolled me back over and Andrew had to run from the pit entrance where he was waiting for me to fill me up and got me out and I didn't lose much time. Here's the frustrating part, there was this one guy, who simply would do his best NOT to let me pass during the main even though I was lapping him. He made me work hard for the pass, which now I enjoyed, but it was incredibly frustrating during the race. He was a quick driver, but I definitely had the edge on him. I'd hate to say it but I did resort to a few "dirty" passes on purpose just to get around him. But it was all in good competition and made sure I never risked breaking either of our cars. So anyone that's never been out there and plans on going, get ready for some tough driving, but it's all in good fun.

Looks like we have a nice little group going. SO far it's: DJ, Joe, Andrew/David, Andy, Alex Serrano and myself.
I know some of you other guys wanted to go. Remember to bring tents and tables. At least tables as I think there's some tree shade to sit under.

Every time I get up and active i get dizzy and feel like throwing up. But for the good news, the knee feels good, considering i was just operated on. Everyone has told me I'll be pretty mobile in a few days. So I'm hoping to be able to race Sunday. We'll see how it goes. I'll keep everyone informed.

| Well we had a good showing today. There were about 11 of us RPR regulars out there. The racing started like at 12:30 and there would be 3 rounds of qualifying (5 Heats) and 3 mains on the day. Qualifying was tight (I moved up and down in the standings each round) We represented out skills very well with DJ(Q-1), Andrew (Q-5), Joe(Q-7), Andy(Q-8) and Myself(Q-6) placing in the the A-main. Maxy(Q-2) was also in the A-Main but left early and never raced. DJ TQ'd and took off from the start and never trailed, winning by 5 laps after only 25 minutes!. I had an AWFUL start and worked my way up from dead last to 4th and keeping close to 3rd after the first round of pits. I wasn't as fast as DJ, but then again no one else was, but 2nd and third weren't blowing me away. Some luck could have maybe put me in the Top 3 at the end. But I ran out of fuel unexpectedly just before the 2nd pit stop and then my dad couldn't get the car started. By the time I got down the steps of the driver's stand (Bad Knee remember) I had already lost 5 laps and was losing more in a hurry. So instead of rushing to get going and maybe hurt myself more climbing the stairs, I just called it a day. Andrew did well early but experienced engine troubles and had to \]out as well. Andy and Joe stayed consistant and finished 5th and 6th respectively (Correct me if I'm wrong.) Howard, Nadim, Budweiser John :D, & Frankie were there today too, but I was kinda drained from the long day and don't remember where they finished in their Mains. Overall it was a fun day. The trip is a little long, and the day is long. But the racing is very competitive. I'll be out there again for their next points race in two weeks. Hope we get as nice a turnout as today.

It gave us enough time to enjoy the day and still work on our cars. Hope to see all the same people out there in 2 weeks for the next points race. We already missed some of the races, so i quess we are not in the points, but it is still nice to get the good turn-out. See you guys next time. I think I am going to try the Cadi, next time. I think andy's car and the new guy from broward cj's car had a little better steering than I did. I will still bring the stratus just in case.

| Correction Erick… I got 4th. LoL doesn't matter only for the sake of accurate journalism ïŠ. Well guys I had a-lot of fun and its been a while since I have been able just go and race without worries. Let me just say it was HOT as heck.. I had a midday headache from the sun however that did not take away from a great time. My strategy today was to go have a good time and be lazy competitive and see where everyone was since I have not raced there in a very long time. Not to take anything away from the other drivers. What I mean is outside of driving skill there is a check list of things that must be considered on your car and team for performance to be top notch. Setup, engine, tires, pit man ect..Here is my take on the racing today. The competition is excellent and to win you just can’t be lazy competitive period! My sportman attitude got me 4th today and lucky at that. I only changed a few things on my car today to get by and run. The guys were all very fast and the top guys ballistic. This means very tight lines, power, traffic skills and fast pitmen. I was average on all those points except for traffic skills which I’m satisfied with. I could keep my car within a 1-1.5 foot window but my setup did not allow any better and maintain fast speeds. This may not seem like much but that was not tight enough at all. A 6 inch window is more like it for the fastest guys at this track. I am happy that I was able to run and place 4th everything considered and I started in 8th . I just kept clean and ran my pace didn’t hit anyone except a side door scrape with DJ as he went by me I could not keep tolerance on that turn (sorry DJ). So in general guys if you’re expecting to WIN with the field that was out there then you must have all your (I.. s) dotted and (T.. s) crossed. Second place would be a-lot easier (even though requires work) but I don’t think DJ has any competition at the performance level he brought with him today. In essence guys for todays race its not just great driving skills it’s a host of other things as well. DJ had most of his list checked off.
Great Job DJ!

| Well Practice is free. Racing is $10 or $15 depending on if it's a points race or not. They have a points series race every 2 weeks on Sunday which usually gets a nice turnout. They also race the weeks in between the points races, but there's not always enough people to race. This Sunday is a points race. There should be a nice turnout. Give them a call if you have another question. They could prolly answer it better.

| CJ,
I don't know at what time they start on Sat's. Just go as early as you can. If you get there between 10am - 11am you should be fine. You'll need to bring your own table and chair. You will not find any electricity. You'll need to charge your stuff before you go, or charge them out of your car's battery. You might need a tent aslo, unless you plan on getting a tan. More people go on Sun. which would be better for you to find help with anything.

| Went to Go racing today, had to leave early due to a big thunderstorm. I definently recomend that you bring a tent, cause it was 95 degrees today and it was almost too hot to handle. Also you definetly need to bring a folding table. Unless you dont mind killing your back by working on the floor.

| What a crazy day. (Get ready for a long post) First let me start by thanking Joe and Robert. Without you guys I wouldn't have been able to run today. (I'll explain in a bit) Second I want to thank everyone that took part in the peer pressure to get me to run after my engine blew. I got some serious ribbing, and I jsut had to run after that.
Ok...so in practice, my engine blew up basically. The engine was already low on compression. It wouldn't idle well at all. I asked for some help and eventually it was leaned out to get it to run. And this led to a quick death. THe conrod bushing of the Mega disintegrated and all the bits, combined with the overheating destroyed the piston, sleeve and head button. It's nasty. I'm tossing the engine i think. When this happened I was ready to pack my stuff and go home. But Rene made it clear to tell everyone that I had declined offers to borrow an engine. LOL I really didn't wanna run. But I finally gave in to the peer pressure. I thank Joe and Robert because they lent me an engine and pipe that I could run for the day. Without them, I would have jsut been watching the whole day.
Now onto the racing. My setup was great, but I didn't qualify well. I think I did a 20 lapper on my final qualifier as I lapped the field, except one guy (can't remember who, but he got 20)But my transponder gave low hits and and only scored me 10 laps. So I was 4th in the B. At the start of the race, I got a mis hit form transponder on my first lap which had me in last place even though I was in front of everyone after the 4th lap. So I had to lap the field to get back onto the lead lap. A combination of flame outs and some consistant driving put me back on the lead lap and luckily I was able to keep the pace and wound up winning the B-Main by a lap (2 really) Joe got second. Andy was running well in 2nd place but dropped out for some reason. So I bumped up to the A-Main.
First, it was decided that the A-main would be 45 minutes, which I hadn't done in ages. But i was ready. I had a great start, taking advantage of an accident right at the start and wound up in 3rd place after a few laps. Robert, Rene, Giani and myself were pulling away. But that's as far as I'd keep up the rest of the race. A bad string of events followed that had me back in a hurry. First my car was great until i smacked a wall and my car developed a nasty push going left. So I wasn't able to keep up the pace. Then to top it off, I had a flame out on my first pit and must have lost at least 5 laps prolly more. When I came back I was in 7th and that's where I'd stay. I figured at 45 minutes there would surely be some drop outs. and I was right. I just drove my race, even though I was the slowest guy, and wound un in 5th at the final horn. Not exactly a spectacular finish, but after all the smack talk I had to keep racing even though I didn't want to. I think Rene won and Francis Lee got 2nd. Even though he didn't win, DJ was again the fastest guy. He broke a shock in Warm-ups and didn't start until 4 minutes after the horn he came alllllll the way back and finished 3rd, just a lap back from Francis. A few more minutes and he would have finished 2nd.
So here's the smack talk. I beat Robert :P but only because he didn't finish, but like he said, no excuses, a loss is a loss. HA! At first I was keeping up with the leaders which included him, but once my handling went to crap, I couldn't keep up with him. He and Rene had a great battle going, swapping places for the lead several times, but I guess he broke out or something. I never found out. So c'mon, bring the smack people. Don't take it personally. I think it's cool that we all know each other well enough to give some Jabs. Now that I have a setup I like, I'll be aiming for the victory next race out. But first I gotta find a new engine. See you guys soon.

| Well gentlemen today was another HOT HUMID DAY!! But the RACING continued as planned! The guys were all ready and even more SKILLED racers came out to represent the guys in Broward. I saw some people I haven’t seen in a while. Erick was in trouble today with the guys pressuring him to perform. A-lot of smiles giggles and finger pointing today. (All in good fun of-course) Ericks’ earlier heat racing was lacking a little. It seemed that his engine died out but no-body gave Erick a break. I’ll let him post his comments about his experience. Personally I was trying out some other things on the car but my testing was done in the qualifiers. Bad Idea! Today my car pushed more than a train in reverse. Way more than comfortable for a good run with todays talent at the track. The fast guys (there were a-lot) were again ballistic. We had new drivers out including Geoanni and others pulling some very respectable times. This pretty much fills a-lot of the A main with too much talent to just lazily sneak in. I missed the A main by a few seconds. Todays push and engine set-up forced me into a wider line that does not work well for speed and swift close maneuvering on tight track. I had to go too wide or too slow at corners. I could not keep a good momentum and keep tight. Like I said in past you better have ALL your ducks in a row to try and win top 3 at this track with the talent racing there. First thing on the list for me would be to FIX the massive pushing get my suspension up to par and also drop my new Mega in and see what happens. If I don’t do that forget A main. Don’t know what the story is with the Kyosho diff either. In any case I ran with Erick and Joe Chaplow in the B main. I didn’t quite know what to do since if Erick would not have won the B main …I would have had a long drive home listening to him complain or something. In any case I ran the B well and was in the lead then my transponder gave way and was not counting. My engine was overheating as well which gave Erick an opportunity to save face. I had mixed feelings about this but it turned out ok since he bumped up and took 5th in the A main.
All in All I had a great time! LETS DO IT AGAIN! P.S. guys don’t take any of the top guys for granted all are top notch and some of the fastest. There is real top level competition at this track. I also know everyone can bring it up a notch as well.

I fixed it but started 10 laps down. Rene and Robert had a great battle going on, it is a shame that robert had problems. Robert you need to change that radio stuff. congrats to rene on the win, till next time and yes there will be a next time. I can't let you win that easy easy.

| They do not enforce any, but they push for the normal, any 3 port, but I am sure no one cares if you run a 5 port. Man I can not wait till the new state series starts. I am ordering all my stuff to build a new car for the series, so the car I am running will be up for sale. I will probably run it at the next race at go racing and then sell it as is, with no motor or electronics. The price is 200

| Id like to start by saying Thank you to all of the guys that came up from miami Its nice to see a large number of people that are passionate about rc cars. You guys did a great job keep it up. Great fun..Sorry about smacking your car in warm ups Dj, hey that was probrably the only way I would get a chance to win the race. I really liked the way your car feels...Anyhow thanks to everyone for showing up, props to Eric for gettting his butt out and finishing what he started, thats is how it supposed to be never give up and he gets mad props for that. I guess I should have put my cash on eric cause he stepped up and made the show. I also want give props to all the broward guys that stepped it up this weekend. Wayne hinds, Bill Ragas, Marlon Chancellor, Rene Javois and if I forgot anyone I apologize in advance. Also special thanks to Dj, And Gianni for helping me with several things.
On a side note....there is going to be a electric state race at the track this weekend. Since Go racing is hosting the event we are also allowed to run nitro touring car. So we will have a class for 200mm touring. Remeber this is a state race event so it will be strict roar membership required, they will be teching the cars..you guys are all welcome to come and hope to see you all there.. any further questions regarding this please contact (Patrick) Go Racing at 954-731-7223
