| Yeah for those of your with Servo Saver problems and using a chassis that elevates the servo a little (NOT like the Motek) You can use one of these
http://www.kimbrough-products.com/ Go to the Servo Saver link. #131 is for Hitec/Xray Servos #114 is for Futaba
I have this one and it works great, BUT it can't be used on the Motek Chassis since the servo lies flat on the Motek Chassis. I'll post something for the Motek when I find an answer.

| The HPI Servo Arm set will also work. It's the same style as the Xray one, but I read in a few places it works better. It's Part #72435 You can order it at any hobby store I'm sure.

| dude, this stuff is getting compicated!!! trying to choose between what upgraded chasis, what servo, what servo saver, what type of battery, how to program your mamba, what shore tires, etc.

| LOL...WEll the Mamba is easy once we start having the Mamba Link available trackside. Next time out we should have it on Andy's computer. The other stuff, well yea, you're right. Nitro is complicated, but man, there so many different Electric products out there, it makes Nitro seem simple.

| Most Nitro Drivers reccomend to have a floating servo to prevent any problems, but I bellieve is the contrary in the 1/18 scale, the firmer you attach the servo to the chassi the least problems you will have; for starters the car is so light that not even hitting the steering will damage the servo (Of course within reason)... I think most of the problems we have seen with the servos is because they come out of the savers.
I upgraded to the metal gear, used servo saver tape and tightened as much as possible the saver screws... I dont think any one at the track crashes more than me, and I dint have any trouble this time out.

| Confusing?, what I'm trying to say is that by using the metal gear for the servo and attaching it as firm as possible into the chassi, worse case scenario, it will be only the servo arm being damaged (RACER'S SECRETS REVEALED # 1).

| Even metal gear servos have a plastic gear inside as a save guard. The cars may be light but a decent hit to the wheel and by by servo. I already killed 2 crappy Hitecs 81mg and 85mg. I now have the Futaba s3102. It's a little slower than the hitec but it actually made the car easier to drive(not as twichy).
I am very pleased with the HPI sevo saver. I don't believe Xray has released the new servo saver yet. It will probably be released at the same time as the M18T. Correct me if I'm wrong.

| Futaba S3102 is all metal main gears only the gear saver is plastic... You'll really have to hit hard to damage this servo.

| You are right Alex, but the Little plastic gear behind the metal one is the Gear Saver ;oP... you wil have to crash head on @ full throttle to brake that one (Assuming your steering is turned at the time).... Bellieve me, I'm a master at Crash testing.

| Gordo mine centers ok, but I know what your talking about, it could be better. I was told you can put a small zip tie around the saver and that reinforces it and helps it stay centered. The zip tie will still give before the servo does. Are you sure it's the saver and not the servo? My Hitec 81mg didn't center at all. The 85mg was better but not by much.

| What did you do? Slap a ZX12 on it? :)
I thought the same thing about the 3102. It looks slow on the car. But it actually makes the car less twitchy. I was very happy with it once I tried it on the track.

| I still have my car stock. just to make it interesting I removed my batteries for less weight and replaced it with a solar cell i ripped off an old calculator from the 80s. It should run good with those dim lights. Just in case my pitman has a flashlight to shine on the car on the straight.

| SECRET REVELED!!! Most of you didn't realize that I secretly imbedded magnetic chips underneath the carpet at Dave and busters. This new highly sophisticated system is a wireless feedback and remote control system. What looked like me driving was really Danny Horta using his wrist watch! The system was also programmed to transfer control over to Art Carbonel sitting by the computer. A nice feature was the random Super Spike glitches shot from a hidden corner microwave dish directed at Ericks Car. This explains his random and unexpected crazy driving maneuvers.

| It was on this OLD, Black and White movie called the Nutty Professor, where he developes all kinds use useless crap. One of them is Flubber, it's like a putty or clay that was REALLY BOUNCY. He snuck it onto a really bad basketball team's shoes and they became really good because they could jump to the ceiling. It's a very old movie. Very Cheesy.
