1) Tonka (34-4) They some times get a bit tight and that is what happened last year. However they will feel they have something to prove. I look for them to be even odds to win their 9th state title.

2) Shamrocks (21-5) They were giant killers last year and have won 16 of their last 18 games. As we all know they have a pitcher who apparently can beat Tonka but three times may be a charm should they meet again.....4:2 to win it all

3) Park (27-7) Veteran and older club who may be getting a little tired and that is their only potential down fall. Yet beware as they were playing about the same during this part of the season last year before they went on a tear playing tremendous ball during the home stretch to bring home the title. They are only 6-4 their last ten and finish the regular season with games against Wesley, Dundas, Angels, Jordan, Delano and TONKA TODAY AT THE VET FOR THE RIVERVIEW CHAMPIONSHIP. As usual they will be battle tested. If they get into the loosers bracket game one or two I feel it will be very difficult for them to come back into the final three........4:2 odds to bring home the iron in a repeat.

4) Wesley (19-9) I am going with them here because I have always liked their club and the way they play as well as how they carry themselves. They play tight defense, have veteran leadership, a couple of very good pitchers, they have been there before and I think they are right there with Park and Shamrocks so I am going to put them at 4:2 odds as well.

5) Air Frieght..I have not seen them play this year but have heard a few tid bits and also have seen some of their scores. I can't give them any better odds then 10:2 and here begins the fall off in my opinion of who the top four teams are with the best chance to win the title.

6) Commanding Edge. Ray is a favorite of mine and he manages the heck out of his summer college club. If they have enough guys at the yard/the right guys we know they will have pitching depth and should they get into the loosers bracket they certainly are yound enough with enough pitching to make a dent coming back through........11:2 to take the iron.

7) Edina (18-11) I am going to non intentionally stir the pot on this one but it is honestly how I feel. They have a very good chance of winning game one and a pretty good chance of winning game two. If they make it to the tourney they will probably end up in the loosers bracket after two or three games and I tell you what they have serious pitching depth plus they are young. Unless their youthfullnss causes them to sieze up this club will be beating some people in the tourney....trust me. (15:2 to win it all)

As far as the rest that is it. These are the only clubs who I think can win the tourney this year and I say that with all due respect just my opinion. I will come up with the rest of the rankings in another post.

Let the forum games begin and then in a week plus or so let the real games begin during playoffs.
