| Rosetown has won the South St Paul tourney the last 3 or 4 years ... and has beaten Stockman's 7 or 8 straight times as well. So instead of being classy and inviting the returning champ back to their tourney ... Stockmans told the A's they are out. Maybe they can win they're own freaking tournament now.

| There was some confusion with responding to the invite to the tournament. It's a long story and I hate typing, if anyone wants to hear it, call me (if you don't have my number, it's none of your business)

| McGinn has got the facts, which is more than I can say for Ty...or is it John Churlin? GET THE FACTS BEFORE YOU BLOW YOUR TOP.

| it's true, but it's still frustrating that they would count us out of a tourney, that we have been in for years and won the last two years, on JANUARY 14th!

| Sounds pretty lame to me. How can't you invite back the defending champions to a tournament. Stockmens really dropped the ball on this one. It kinda tarnishes there tournament now.

| I will put the simple facts here so as to not get into a pissing match. Rosetown WAS invited back. I set a deadline for entries and three e-mails were sent out to three e-mail addresses that I have had over the years for Rosetown, as well as four calls being made between our coach and myself since November. If that's not being invited, I guess I can live with that.
Mr McGinn, I guess I am surprised after our e-mails last night that you DID understand the information at that time, but now you don't? Rosetown is a classy team and we do play them a number of times each year, and will continue to do so--they will also be invited to the tourney each year. However, I cannot control whether someone responds to repeated requests to be in the tournament.

| Sounds to me like some people have gone off half-cocked, again. Perhaps the persons who ignored the repeated invitations should just fess up and admit that they screwed up.
Also Ty, why chirp about something when one doesn't even know the facts? Must be some lingering liberal/democrat election hangover.

| I'm sick of this! Rhino, I said it was frustrating, that never changed. Admitting that we screwed up (I would if it wasn't for this e-mail that was forwarded to me from Rhino that says in the last paragragh that they got a request from us.) So, why would I have to respond? That was the confusion I was talking about. Rhino, It's your tournament and you can do whatever you want. I'm not going to say you guys wanted to keep us out of your tournament because I don't think thats true, it was just a surprise and maybe it's partly our fault because we expected to be in the tourney.

It's a six-team, two-pool round robin tourney. You'd play both teams in your pool, then move to Sunday based on record for 5th, 3rd or 1st place. I am starting to get a good amount of requests, so let me know right away if you want to be in. If you are one of the first, you can play a DH on Saturday, and one on Sunday. Game times are 6:30 and 8:45 on Thursday night, no games Friday (due to local parade), 11/2/5/8 pm on Saturday, and 11/2/5 on Sunday. Entry fee for 2004 was $175.00 plus four baseballs. We may bump it up a bit due to umpire costs, but it would only go to $200.00. Three games guaranteed. Concessions, pop and beer are available for purchase at the park. I'll attach an e-mail that is preliminary for this year regarding the rules, etc. We have had requests from Rosetown (St Paul), St Louis Park, Hopkins, a team from Chicago, Savage Outlaws, Minneapolis Cobras, Wanamingo Jacks, and a few other local teams. If you can let me know right after your meeting, I'll block off a spot for you guys. Let me know as soon as you possibly can. Thanks.

| Ginner, my response was to you stating we "counted you out" when you simply didn't respond. As I stated to you last night, the reason I had you in the original e-mail was the assumption that someone from your team actually would respond, as they had done to me the previous three seasons. Didn't mean anything harmful, just confused after what you stated last night.
Oh well, just the start of another colorful amateur baseball season!
