Could we add a rule that teams can only pick up 2 players, and that the 2 picked up players must bat last and picked up players can play catcher or right field only.

Who is going to keep track of what players are picked up? Is it really that big of a deal.

Hey i understand your complaint and senice no one is leaving a name i wont ither. However my feeling on it will be that it would be rather confusing to keep track of.

This league I belivie functions by ASA rules and I dont know for sure but i dont belivie that there is a rule like the one you have suggested. I think the only thing that should be watched more closey is team rosters, if your only suppose to have 25 people on a team then there shouldnt be 30 people with stats.

Just to help clear up. The league goes by ASA Rules. But each league can, and does, also have their own "league rules". Other places call them "Park Rules". Our only "Park Rules" are that we can't drink out there, lol.

Anyway, The league rules state that teams may pick up 1 player if they have less than 10. That player may not be in the top 20 of divisional batting average. Also, that player may only be used ONE TIME by that team in that year.

Now, how closely these are followed is up for debate. All managers are aware of this rule and if they abide by it or not, we've just put it on them and their honesty. There's really not a way for us to check on these things unless we're out at the fields all of the time. If it's something that needs to be enforced, I would suggest bringing it up at the next meeting or at the meeting for next summer's league.
