Dawson cycle leads A's to victory.
The Dodgers only had 8, but they all played hard and never gave up. The A's had a big 13-2 lead, keyed by the hitting of Dave Dawson, who hit for the cycle and drove home 5, and Matt Trites who had 4 hits and 3 Rib eyes. The Dodgers made it interesting by scoring 4 in the 7th and 5 in the 8th, but the A's had a big 3-run insurance 8th inning to put the game away. For the Dodgers, Tim Woodward had 4 hits and 5 RBI's, and Louie Gutierrez had 3 hits. As always, A's starting pitcher Pat Estrada was excellent, going a strong 6 innings, only allowing 2 runs and picking up the win.
