Sailors take over 1st Place with a BIG win over Bellmore JFK
Ashley Davis pitches a gem of a game, allowing only three Hits, while going 2-3 herself with a Homerun in Leading the Sailors to a 4-2 Victory over Bellmore JFK to take sole possession of 1st Place. Strong offensive performances also supplied By Alexa Katz, continuing her Torrid hitting, going 2-4 with a Lead off homerun to set a great tone for the game, Cindy Guerrero going 2-3 with a Walk, and Ari Demarzo hitting a Big Triple (which we all know was a Homerun). Strong defensive Game played by all, with nice defensive plays by Kati Hoffman, Jessica Panzarino and Deanna Viola in the infield and a Beautiful catch in Left by Kristen Gallub. Another super game by Catcher Nicole Milano, who with the help of a great call by Coach Rich Napolitano (aka Nap) fired a laser down to 1st to pick the girl off 1st and end the Game. Another Great coaching game by coach Alyson Lamonte who continues to push all the right buttons.
