Sailors Win. Advance to Quarter Finals with 5-2 Win
After a slow start, falling behind 2-0 in the 1st, behind a Great Bunt call by Coach Lamonte the Sailors rally to defeat Syosset 5-2 and advance to the Quarter Finals. After allowing 2 Runs in the 1st Davis settles in and Shuts down Syosset for the rest of the Game. Offense supplied by Jessica Panzarino going 2-3 with 2 RBI's, Ashley Davis Going 2-3 with 2 Runs Scored, Ari DeMarzo with another Clutch hit, Nicole Milano with another Big Hit and an RBI, And a Perfectly executed Squeeze play by Coach Lamonte and Jess Kambic. Defense Started game a little shaky but really picked it up and played flawlessly over the last 5 innings with some very solid play by our Shortstop Alexa Katz, Katie Hoffman at 2nd and the entire Outfield of Deanna Viola, Cindy Guerrero, and Jess Kambic.
