Brewers Defeat Cardinals, 16-8
The Brewers' Scott Bailey was perfect on the mound through the first four innings. The Cardinals mounted their only real threat in the fifth, scoring four. Carlos Garcia was solid in relief, and the Brewers' offense contributed up and down the lineup, with Greg Whittaker leading the charge with a perfect 4-4 and three RBIs. Eric Cain continued his torrid hitting with three hits. Mateo Valadez and Efrain Medrano also had three-hit games. Bailey also contributed with the bat with two singles and two sac flies for three RBIs.
