Blakeman, Gennaro combine for 2-hit shutout
The only thing hotter than the Mariner pitching was the scorching heat for an afternoon game at Valley College. Blakeman and Gennaro were outstanding, allowing only 2 hits in the shutout.
Offensively, the Mariners broke through in the 5th for 5 runs against some tough Tiburone pitching. McJimsey came up huge again for the Mariners with a bases loaded triple to lead the 5th inning charge. Dave Odud was solid yet again for the Mariners, going 3-4 with 2 rbi.
