Maganza outduels Torres.
Roberto Torres had 14 strikeouts in a complete game effort for the Cats, but it was still not enough to outdo Mikey "I'm only going 4 innings" Maganza, in this classic pitcher's duel.
Maganza was masterful, surviving a 4-error first inning by limiting the Cats to just 2 unearned runs there. The rest of the game, he was on cruise control, allowing only one earned run, 4 hits, 2 walks, and one hit batter in a huge complete game win.
Reid Warner has the big hit of the game in the third inning with a 2-rbi single. Felix Pacheco (2-3, bb) gets what would be the game winner in the 5th inning, with an RBI single. And Lukas Kendall continues to torment the Mudcats with another 2-hit game. For the Cats, great game for Dave White, who had 3 hits, rbi, run scored.
