Brewers Win Ugly, 5-4 Over Colt 45's
The Colt 45's led the Brewers 4-1 after three innings. The Brew Crew clawed back with two runs in the fourth inning and overtook the 45's with two runs in the seventh inning for a 5-4 lead, which was the last bit of scoring. But the Brewers also committed nine errors, to raise the bar on winning ugly. Greg Bertrand got the win by shutting the 45's down over the final four frames, yielding two hits and fanning four. The offense was led by Efrain Medrano, 3-4 (including a double) and rookie Jesse Tejeda, 3-3 (and solid defense behind the plate). Augie Alonso, Rick Guardino and Carmen Rizzo each had two-hits on the day.
