45s Squeak By Diablos

Bill Brown pitched well and kept his team in the game before his offense erupted for eight off of the Diablos, last minute starter, Scott Elliot. Elliot seemed to have things under control before the 45s waited him out and knocked him out in the fourth. The Diablos came right back, knocking the usually reliable, Dave Noll, out in the sixth. Scott Brown took over and did a fine job closing out the contest, yielding only four unearned runs, and greatly helped by an inning ending, over the shoulder grab by Gary Cozine.
Offensively, every Colt had a hand in this win, either scoring, knocking in a run or collecting important hits to lead the team to victory.
