10 Inning Pitcher’s Battle Ends In a 4-4 Tie
The Stars jump off to a 4-0 lead by the 3rd inning. The Condors scrape their way back to tie it in the 6th.
From then on Dale St. John and Anthony Di Pietro roll through the lineups.
With 2 out, the game tied in the bottom of the 9th, and the Condors having runners at 1st and 2nd, Don Agronsky drives a solid single to
RF. A little too solid, Steve Getzug fields the ball cleanly and fires a strike to the plate to throw out the potential game ending run.
Stars 2Bman, Rob Owens, makes a bunch of XLNT plays to keep the Condors off base. Dave Livergood throws two scoreless innings to start the game for Stars. From there on out the game was all Dale and Anthony. 10 innings and the 2 Stars pitchers don't walk a single batter!! A good way to start the season - no one loses.
