Bandits Defeat Stallions

The Stallions' Brian Greene kept the Bandits in check for 7 innings limiting them to 5 hits and striking out 4 and left trailing only 4-3. Once Greene departed, the Bandits scored 4 in the 8th to put the game away and claim victory. Jeff Wells went 8 innings for the Bandits allowing 10 hits and striking out 6 on his way to the win. Jerry Whitaker picked up the save throwing a hitless 9th. Tom Kopp had a big day for the Bandits with 3 hits including a double off the LF wall and a dinger over the same spot in the 8th. Chris Burton showed what small ball is about by executing a perfect squeeze play in the 7th to get the Bandits their 4th run. Nice effort by the Stallions who had a limited 9 man squad.
