Bandit Get Hot With The Bats
Red Sox ace Bob Diaz kept the Bandits in check for 3 innings before timely hitting brought in 3 runs in the 4th inning. From that point on, the Bandits came alive and banged out a total of 19 hits on the day. Four Bandits had big days at the plate with Tom Kopp, Andy Schwindt, and Steve Barnhart all knocking out 3 hits each. Kopp and Schwindt each had big doubles and 3 RBIs. Mike guise had a perfect day at the plate going 4 for 4 with a huge triple in the 5th inning.
Jeff Gould picked up the win with 5 solid innings on the mound and Jerry Whitaker threw the final four to close it out.
