Stallions upset Grays with walk-off win in 8
Sean Lang hammered a walk-off bases-loaded double off the left-centerfield fence to end a long game. The Stallions jumped out to an 8-0 lead after 3 innings, chasing starter Troy Bregel. With reliever Chris Gauthier holding the Stallions to just 3 hits and no runs for the next 4 innings, the never-give-up Grays rallied back to tie in the 7th and score the go ahead run in the 8th. That set the stage for the bottom of the 8th dramatics: Mark Kaeller led off with a drive deep to the right field fence for a lead-off triple/ Mike Morgan followed with an infield single that would have scored the tying run if not for a diving play at 2nd to keep the ball from going through. David Chambers then flew out to left field for the first out. The Grays then intentionally walked Brian Greene to load the bases. With the infield up, Sean Lang unloaded what just missed being a walk-off grand-slam by a few feet. Brian Greene pitched another complete game gem and accounted for half the Stallions first 8 runs with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Mark Kaeller had a 3-3 day with a single, double, triple, a walk and 3 runs scored. The Gray's Michael Kedor substantially increased his league-leading stolen base count by swiping 7 (that's seven)!
