Cubs Hold Off Redlegs Late
The host Franklin Cubs held off a fantastic Redlegs comeback effort in the first game of a double-header. The Redlegs fell behind early 11-3, but scored twice in the third, 5 times in the 4th, and once in the 7th, only to be denied in a 12-11 loss. Brody Turner pitched 4 and 1/3 innings of outstanding relief, allowing only one hit and one unearned run.
