Angels Hold on For Win Fourth Straight!
The Angels had a comfortable 7-1 thru 5 1/2 with Lee Frankel in command on the mound. The defense went to sleep in the heat in the bottom of the 6th, allowing the Tigers to score 6 and tie the game. The Angels came right back in the top of the 7th, going ahead by 1 on singles by Monahan and Acevedo and a sac fly by Lorenzo Ramos, then scored 6 to blow it open with a 6 run 8th. Ramos gets the save with 2 shutout innings to finish it off.
On offense, Acevedo has a perfect day (3-3, bb, hbp), while Ramos (3 rbi), Combs and Frankel each go 2-3.
