Gerdhart makes his pitching debut
Ryan Gerdhart made his pitching debut Thursday night and picked up a win for the Chesapeake Red Sox. Gerdhart threw 4 innings while scattering 3 runs. Reliever Daniel Bartholomew also making his debut pitched a scoreless 5th and 6th inning. Danny Tyler pitched a perfect 7th to end the game.
The Sox were able to take advantage of some walks and errors to jump out to a 3-0 start and never looked back.
