Pre Season vs. TNXL Academy is a defensive battle
The Hurricanes dropped a close one in a pitching & defensive battle. The Canes got their first 2 hits in the 5th inning to produce the first run of the game. Although the Ducks battled back in the 6th with 2 runs after the pitcher-batter dual of 11 pitch at bat. The Canes solid pitching by both Hunter Mink (4 IP), and Nick Ficarrotta (2 IP) -and their solid defense made for a good game. TNXL pitching was also solid, and kept the Canes bats a lot quieter than normal.
